Candid Moments - Heather Hart
Introduction
Do you ever feel like you aren’t good enough? Like no matter how hard you try or what you do, you just never seem to measure up? Do you ever look around you and see all these amazing women, doing awesome things, and feel like that will never be you?
I think we all do that, at least to some degree. Or at least I do. My name is Heather Hart and I am the founder of CandidlyChristian.com. It’s a website I started is powered by a group of Christian women who all share the same message. And our message is simple, we want to share what real faith looks like in real life. It won’t always be perfect, and we need to know that.
We need to know that being less than the world’s definition of perfect, doesn’t make us less Christian than the girl next door. It doesn’t make us unworthy.
We need to know that real faith isn’t flawless, and that’s okay because of Jesus. Jesus came because He knew we could never be perfect. He came because He knew we would need Him.
That’s the message we try to share with readers on our blog, and it’s the message we hope you get from this devotional series.
1 | God Cares
Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.
1 Peter 5:7
MY YEAR STARTED OFF with a bang. I published a new book and launched a new website. I got a treadmill to help me get back in shape. Things were looking good!
And then our car broke down. The first mechanic we took it to tried a couple things then said he didn’t know how to fix it. So, we’re waiting for another mechanic in town to have an opening at his shop to look at it, probably next week. No promises.
On top of that, my daughters and I all came down with a virus. As I sit here writing this, I’ve been running a fever for three days. And it’s only January 5th.
Life is hard. It hardly ever goes as planned.
But do you know what? Even in the hard moments God is good.
God has provided everything we need during these last few days. While it hasn’t been easy, it could have been a lot
