Author D. L. Weatherford was born and raised in a religious family in Dayton, Ohio. His family attended a local Pentecostal Church. It was a small church a congregation of about 80 at the most. The church had a great youth program which he and his cousins were very active in at that. Later in life, decided to move to Florida with his dad and took a job in the roofing industry. In that time, he got married and then his life changed forever after I woke up one morning with a terrible migraine that wouldn't go away and was later diagnosed with NDPH that ultimately changed the trajectory of everything he could imagine. His wife at that time didn't believe the medical issues he was having and did not support him. After coming home from the hospital after having a procedure with instructions from the doctor to stay home she asks, "Why aren't you at work?"She cared more about the money he was bringing in than his health. After that, she left without warning. In the course of events, he stopped believing until one day his grandmother gave him a good come to Jesus talking and this led to other events orchestrated by the Lord to get his attention. He was brought back to God on the morning of February 11, 2011. His life has never been the same. He is excited to share his story with others. It is in writing this book that eventually led to his now wife, author Sandra Lott.

My Pathway To Jesus Christ - D.L. Weatherford
Introduction
I was born and raised in a religious family in Dayton, Ohio. The church my family attended is called Pentecostal Church of God; it was off of Huffman Hill. It was a small church, which held a congregation of about eighty people, at the most. The church had a great youth program, in which my cousins and I were very active at that time. We participated in a wide range of things. I wasn’t attending to learn the Word of God, I was more interested in having fun. I didn’t take anything that they said to heart.
My parents divorced and, when I turned eighteen, I moved from my mother’s house to my dad’s. He lived in Florida at the time. Dad worked for a roofing company out of New York and had been there for years.
I worked for the same company for a short period of time. I eventually got tired of all the traveling and the time spent away from home, so my father and I decided to leave the company. I would eventually find my way to the best company I could ever work for and stay there for years. It was a small, family-owned and operated company right in the same town where I lived, so it was perfect.
I resided with my father for a while and I finally moved out once I was able to afford to do so. I moved to a small mobile home in a park not too far from where he took residence at the time. I lived there for a few years and met some great there.
Eventually, I met my future wife right there in the park, and it was love at first sight. We had chemistry instantly, and there was no doubt in my mind that we were made for each other. We dated for a few years, and we eventually moved in together. It was magical, to say the least. She had a son from a previous relationship, but it did not take long for he and I to become friends. Everything fell right into place. We decided that the time was right to get married.
We were married within two years of living together. Her son was my best man, and her sister was her maid of honor. Her sister was living with us at the time because she had just escaped an abusive relationship. She had three kids with her, so we had a full house.
With all that we had going on, we were also trying to buy a home, which was a large task in and of itself. In hindsight, I wish we would have waited on the purchase because I was having health issues at the time. If I had known all I would go through, we would have waited to buy a house until I had all the proper answers about my migraines.
As I write this story and look back at my life, I wonder what caused my reluctance to follow God. Was it because my sister-in-law was pagan, or was it something else entirely? During that time, my sister-in-law was exploring the pagan world. I had struggled to understand that world and was unsure of what I believed anymore.
I was searching for something, but I had no idea what it was. I just felt something was missing from my life. I would soon come to know that I was searching for my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. It would take me a long time to realize that He was by my side the entire time, even though the clues were always right in front of me.

Migraines
This is where my journey truly began. It started on February 11, 2011, at 3:00 a.m. I remember that day well because it would ultimately change my life forever. I began to experience the most torturous headache imaginable. It was something that no one could have ever prepared for. I spent the entire day in agony, and I took no less than ten Tylenol that day. Most everyone at work could tell that something was wrong.
Are you okay?
my boss asked me.
My head is killing me,
I replied, hoping that the pain would go away soon.
Yeah, I can see that. Hope it clears up for you. Let me know if you need anything.
I went back to doing what I was doing.
As soon as I’d finished my shift, I went home. We had recently moved into an apartment, which was only two blocks away from work. Once I got home, I wanted to do nothing but go to sleep.
On my way to the bedroom, I noticed that my stepson was playing his video game, which he normally did after a long day at school.
Are you okay?
he asked me.
I didn’t want to lie. I had to respond by saying, No, Nick, I’m not. I’m going to my bedroom to lie down. If you could, please try and keep the noise down, I would appreciate it. Thanks.
No problem,
he replied.
Later that evening, I overheard my sister-in-law and my wife talking. My sister-in-law asked her if I was okay.
My wife was aware of my headache because of the previous night. She came into our bedroom to check on me. Are you okay?
she asked.
I’m in miserable pain,
I replied.
Why don’t you see a doctor?
she asked.
I told her that I would if I wasn’t better in a couple of days.
You’d better. I don’t want you walking around feeling like this,
she said before she turned and left the room.
****
The following day, my head was still killing me.
My boss came up to me and asked, Are you feeling any better?
I told him that I wasn’t.
You probably need to see a doctor,
he replied.
I’m going to Clark and Daughtery tomorrow,
I responded.
He replied, Good. Be sure that you do.
I assured him that I would and then continued with my day.
****
The following day, I went to the Clark and Daughtery walk-in clinic.
After an examination, the doctor diagnosed me with a cluster headache and gave me a shot in the buttocks.
The next day, I reported to work, feeling the worst I had ever felt in my life. The shot did nothing to make me feel better.
I told my boss what the doctor said, and he replied, Okay, we will see what happens.
As the day went on, my head was still throbbing, and I knew that something wasn’t right.
After I clocked out to go home, my boss came up to me and asked, You’re still in pain, aren’t you?
Yes, I am,
I replied.
If you’re still in pain tomorrow, let me know, and we will talk to Ms. Kathy.
Ms. Kathy is my boss’s wife.
Okay,
I said, hoping
