by Jessa Leigh
the love we carry in our hearts and,
the love that we've shared from our hearts
is the only reason our souls are alive
in love, we see our souls, we find infinity
there is a special infinity that can only come from sharing pieces of your true self,
as one does when deeply in love
memories in love, moments in time, are to remind us of when we acted human, our most vulnerable
………………………………………….
each time a piece of us is given away, our entire being transforms somewhat anew,
for we deeply impact those who interact with us,
as they deeply impact us
in this giving and receiving of love,
we are able to see ourselves as the people we are and that which we want to be
yet, sometimes love doesn't stay in the same way…
past this decay of old we can chose to grow, to recreate ourselves, to explore again
life is about love and the moments it brings us
this is for everyone I've ever loved
this is for my dear readers
this is for my healing
thank you
lying to people has been my specialty
now I’m waiting for things to catch up with me
waking up one day and realizing nothing’s the same
wondering what’s different but knowing I’m the one to blame
been hiding things for so long I’m scared to open up
afraid of rejection, and officially changing my mind
I feel a calling towards becoming a genuine honest kind
trying to get back to my roots
where I really felt at home, in my head
for now it feels like my head is on lease
and I could really use that space for peace
taking deep breaths to help restart all that’s to be said
I can be whoever I want to be,
as long as it’s truly pleasing to me

Who Am I?
Initial Sparks ((Puppy Love))
these are some of my earliest poems. they reflect a side of me that in some ways was very much unconscious and also obsessive. we find things we like and get hooked on them. for me, this was love and the whole encompassing idea of it. enjoying every mate I have been blessed enough to share space with yet always focused on finding a true
soul mate
looking back, I now know these feelings I had were very real but also idealized. I had the highest hopes and it shows in my word choices. everything felt so definitive… so final. like every love would have or could have been the last one
in this life we find many supportive relationships. none of them less affecting and important when they are through. on this journey with those we loved and lost
, we can learn to take lessons and important moments into our future journey of self… and into our relationships with others again
love is not lost, because it is over
love is not less love,
