We strive for our idea of perfection;

but not perfection.

Life is a journey

given the proper guide

one will find their path

We do not truly know ourselves

so how do we expect to know

someone else... completely...

We are ever changing in our thoughts, spirits, souls, and physical bodies

Everyday we wrestle with thoughts that we did not own yesterday

but now we have become them

Depending on our emotional state it could cripple us or strengthen us

To Fit in Two

I want to fit into your hand

So you can carry me and love me and cherish me

I want to fit into your heart

So you can feel me and hear my pain---you’ve caused

I want to fit into your time

So you will remember me and not forget me---like you often do

I want to fit the profile that you have for a wife

So you will ask me to marry you

And I will say yes...because I love you

I want to fit into your dreams

So you will think of me as you sleep

And never be without me
