Introduction

Here I am sitting, wondering and asking God, What is going on? After fifteen years, I thought marriage would get easier but now it has become the greatest challenge in life. I thought the first two years of our marriage were rough but now it seems we are hitting a whole new low. I feel as if my wife and I are on different teams and I am confused as to what to do.

I love Megan so much; I expected our marriage to be effortless. However, the 15th year of our marriage was probably our most difficult year. The first eight months of that year were so challenging, full of disagreements, frustration, and discouragement, but by the grace of God the last four months were a great improvement. It was at our lowest point that the Lord led me into a study of what the Bible really says concerning the role and the responsibility of a husband. The Holy Spirit opened up the scriptures to me. He began to teach me how I should fulfill the role that He gave me as the husband.

This revelation really triggered a turnaround in our marriage. Almost six years later, I still continue to read and re-read those scriptures that the Holy Spirit showed me because I want to saturate myself with His revelation. It is not my desire that this only be head knowledge. I want it to penetrate
