A Wife’s Reflection

Initially, being asked the meaning of marriage is often a difficult question to answer. If you are already married, most of your thoughts concerning marriage have become both habits and characteristics.

I find expressing thoughts regarding the marital union is more difficult to convey through actions. Both physical and verbal communication and the ability to show love for each other in your everyday interactions are essential.

Thinking back, I started to reflect on the many years of intimate moments, milestones, and love that we have shared throughout our marriage.

I can see the glory of God and how he has allowed the beauty of our vows to keep us continually in his presence every day.

The shared commitment that exists within a union becomes tested when faced with various perils of life together. Whether it is a wedding anniversary or just celebrating a day in the life you’ve shared thus far, it can cause one to reflect on the obstacles you overcame.

Celebrating achievements accomplished together as a married couple and having someone who will stay and work out whatever the situation may be bring one to understand the vow of for better or worse.
