There are many products and services that are sold by phone every day, many more than you can imagine. All those people who do telephone sales have a plus of difficulties and also some advantages, why not say it. It is common for products and services that are not too expensive to be sold over the phone since their small budget does not allow them to travel, knock on doors and consume business resources that are scarce.
Trends tell us that telesales of many products and services will be more and more adopted in companies, just as everything is virtualizing
and we have skype meetings, etc. In short, it is about transmitting trust and that works perfectly over the phone. Surely you will say: Yes, but that is not the same
. It is a trend, however, and we will see it grow like foam, like all other virtual or distance sales.
Our advice is that every good salesperson must be prepared for telephone sales, otherwise they will not use their commercial capacity to 100% and therefore their employability will be reduced. The future is more commercial than we imagine, and telephone sales are one of the hallmarks of that future. Wines, banking, telephony, websites, extra virgin olive oil, LOPD or other types of advice, advertising, appearances in the press (for a fee), subscriptions to magazines, etc. There are many products that we buy by phone and there are more and more.
Telephone sales have a number of advantages:
• Reduced business expenses.
• We can focus on more customers because we don't have to travel or wait long.
• We can sell all over the world without much effort.
And disadvantages:
• It is more difficult to build a relationship of trust. • For value-added products and services, the customer wants to see our face to see who is selling to them.
Support is needed more
