Spiritual Nobility: The Story of Joseph: Spiritual Leadership, #10

About this ebook
This book by Zacharias Tanee Fomum is the depiction of the beauty and grandeur in the holiness and character of Joseph. Very early on in life, this hardworking and non-idle young man took on the heavy burden of denouncing the sin of his brothers before his father, who loved him so much.
This aroused the jealousy of his brothers who sold him into slavery. Having gone down to Egypt as a slave, he worked in Potiphar's house.
There again, he fled sin with all his might, refusing to sleep with his master's wife. This anti-sin stance landed him in prison. In all these things, the Lord was with him and blessed him.
By the hand of God who knows how to prepare those whom He wants to raise to greatness by trials, he came to leadership over Egypt and was an instrument of deliverance for His people. Joseph was a man of vision and sexual purity.
This book responds to an urgent need of God to raise up in the Church men and women of spiritual nobility like Joseph.

PREFACE
Spiritual Nobility—the story of Joseph, is a book written in 1985 by Professor Zacharias Tanee Fomum. In this book, the author presents Joseph in the school of the wilderness (sold as a slave, then became a prisoner). God is jealous of all special vessels who are in His training school. He will not allow them to be independent. It is of utmost importance to Him. He did not spare His own Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, who underwent a crash course of 40 days in the wilderness, because He knew that those who have experienced great periods of trials know how to handle greatness. He equally gives us the secret of Joseph’s greatness which is summarised in this Bible passage:
The Lord was with Joseph.
Through this book, the author wants to help you handle without grumbling the wilderness" you are going through or may go through, because you are a special vessel God wants to use.
Dear reader, you are in good company. We pray that the Lord would use this book to make of you a person who depends totally on God for that is the secret of greatness according to God. It is the secret of SPIRITUAL NOBILITY.
INTRODUCTION
THE GENESIS OF THE PROBLEM
Jacob dwelt in the land of his father’s sojournings, in the land of Canaan. This is the history of the family of Jacob. Joseph, being seventeen years old, was shepherding the flock with his brothers; he was a lad with the sons of Bilhah and Zilpah, his father’s wives; and Joseph brought an ill report of them to their father. Now Israel loved Joseph more than any other of his children, because he was the son of his old age; and he made him a long robe with sleeves. But when his brothers saw that their father loved him more than all his brothers, they hated him, and could not speak peaceably to him.
Now Joseph had a dream, and when he told it to his brothers they only hated him the more. He said to them, Hear this dream which I have dreamed: behold, we were binding sheaves in the field, and lo, my sheaf arose and stood upright; and behold, your sheaves gathered round it, and bowed down to my sheaf.
His brothers said to him, Are you indeed to reign over us? Or are you indeed to have dominion over us?
So they hated him yet more for his dreams and for his words. Then he dreamed another dream, and told it to his brothers, and said, Behold, I have dreamed another dream; and behold, the sun, the moon, and eleven stars were bowing down to me.
But when he told it to his father and to his brothers, his father rebuked him, and said to him, "What is this dream that you have dreamed? Shall I and your mother
