Today’s Reading and Meditation Mathew 6:24-34

The earth and its fullness belong to the Lord, The world and all that dwell in it Psalm 21

Praise the LORD children of Yahweh, the highest God, praise his holy name, for He has given us the downing of a new day, a new year and a new season.

God who alone is God has made it possible for us His children to witness a great miracle, the miracle of being alive to experience a new day, a day to be glad, and a day to be holy, a day TO BE FRUITFUL IN THE LAND.

Beloved in Christ, lets revisit the miracle of the exodus once again. In chapter 15 from verses 1-21, Moses began to sing and praise God; in verse 2 he said The Lord is my light and my salvation. Moses is not known to flip into emotions or to sing for the fun of it, but what Moses has experienced, he couldn't contain, the great deliverance, the liberation, the crossing from death to life. The song of Moses which the church calls the first canticle of Moses is a thanksgiving for the faithfulness of God through the ages.

Brethren, we've just witnessed a great miracle and we must sincerely give Praises to God, many didn't make it this far, many for no fault of theirs were cut short, died, a lot are critically sick, but in all God is still God.

This is a day of rejoicing and reflection, ifs a day we gather round the family altar to pray, to merry and to lift up our petitions and expectations to the Lord, the most high, offering Him praise and worship from the depths of our heart.

In our reflection today, "set your heart first on the kingdom of GOD, and his justice (righteousness /demands /requirements) and these things will be given to you. Mathew 6:33, in summary it means PUT GOD FIRST IN ALL YOUR ENDEAVOURS, and all your Godly desires will be given to you.

To put God first is to always reflect within you, will this act be to the glory of God, am I doing the will of God when I do this, do my actions be it in family, business, and work, and do they promote the name of Jesus and win souls for Christ?.

Whatever we may desire in life, our reflection is from Psalm 24:1, the earth is the Lords and its fullness. God is actually the rightful owner of everything, all that we desire is with Him and God says seek me first and all you need will be given you.

Are you desiring to be successful in business? Put God first.

= Are you desiring to be married? Put God first.

= Are you desiring to have children? Put God first.

= Are you praying for spiritual growth? Put God first.

= Are you praying for breakthrough in career? Put God first.

=Are you desiring to own material property? Put God first.

Permit me to report to you that those who recorded the greatest feat in the scriptures are the once whose utmost desire was to do the will of God, to serve the purpose of God, and to please Him alone, Abraham, David, Paul, Daniel, Joseph etc. These great leaders always PUT GOD ABOVE ALL, EVEN THEMSELVES.
