About this ebook

In Fulfillment, the author outlines the path that followed his adoption of the principles in Source for Sensitive People, leading to experiencing bliss and contentment. Living a life deeply rooted in caring for family and community, the author was able to apply the life lessons learned through trials he experienced during a youth marked by turmoil and crises. While recognizing that the journey from painful hardship to a quiet, happy life was made possible largely by random chance, in Fulfillment the author recounts the steps he follows to live a deeply fortunate life in a human world marked by crises, suffering, and need.

Milt Greek

After nearly two decades doing volunteer work involving schizophrenia and publishing two books on the psychosis, treatment approaches and recovery while working as a computer programmer, Milt Greek took a sabbatical from mental health work and returned to his quiet life. After years reflecting on his life, Milt is embarking on a new series of publications for sensitive people. Blending a deeply spiritual approach to life with practical approaches to flourishing as a sensitive person, Milt's writings seek to provide aid to many other sensitive people who strive for happiness and fulfillment in a human world marked by crises and challenges. Focus on Your Personal World

As we grow up and enter adulthood, it is common for us to experience challenges and crises that sometimes seem overwhelming. We wonder, how can there be a benevolent spiritual world if these hardships are happening to me and so many others? During these times, seeking spiritual understanding seems useless.

Answering the spiritual questions and challenges we face fulfills an important part of our purpose. This fulfillment creates joy within us and in our personal world, from which arises a new self-in-the-world that is asked the questions that follow. Our journey becomes a series of challenges and responses that completes the story of our life.

Fulfilling our spiritual potential requires making concrete changes in our face-to-face web of life. This will be a step-by-step transformation of what is within and what is without. As you create a true sanctuary and experience feelings of safety and stability, you will gain insights into who you are: what you need, what your traumas and weaknesses are, what your strengths and virtues are, what you want out of life, and how you’ve brought people and events into your life because of these things. This will change you and make you want to change the personal world around you.

Your journey toward fulfillment, like enlightenment, will have no end. It will grow, change, manifest, fade and renew over decades. If you are fortunate enough to attain spiritual and personal goals and apply life lessons, you will experience bliss, gratitude, and a wonderful sense of belonging and oneness with the world around you.

I have heard there is a Zen Koan:

Before Enlightenment: chop wood, carry water

After Enlightenment: chop wood, carry water

Fulfillment will manifest, fade and manifest again. The commonplace tragedies of life will knock you off course for a while, the whir of success will threaten your inner peace and your ability to have time to enjoy and have gratitude for all the gifts we receive.

Each day that the daily tasks of life bring happiness and satisfaction, you are fulfilled. Attaining that can sometimes be difficult; on other days, it may be as simple as sitting down with a loved one for coffee or tea.

    Sanctuary

    Creating the Sanctuary

The first step is to live in a protective and empowering sanctuary in your home and work life. You want to feel safe, respected, able to be vulnerable, peaceful, joyful, whole, and connected to people and things you love, all as part of the sacred.

See your home as having concentric circles surrounding the place where you sleep. The room where you sleep should have restful, pleasing, and cherished images and objects that remind you of your dreams, times of happiness and peace, people, and others you love. You should feel safe, secure, and happy. If you are sexually active with a person or people
