Acknowledgment, love, and thanks to the great friend who introduced me to the powerful nutriment wheatgrass and other wondrous plants throughout the aughts (each one teaches one). My affinity for plant science and commitment to highlighting plant nourishment's value grows stronger by the day. This anthology of fun facts is for everyone, especially the V Musers, who know that the Earth is a garden and plant food is everything. Musing 1: n. a period of reflection or thought. 2: adj. thoughtfully abstracted. V Musings is a creative adjective: reflection on vegan topics and a vegan play on the word amusing.
Once again, V Musings sets off to uncover the mysteries of plant nutrition and take the reader on an artful exploration of a broad range of topics. V Musings Deux aims to turn the cognitive wheels and steer thinking toward a greater appreciation for plant nutrition benefits. V Musings Deux centers on the application of plant nutrition information to influence daily food choices. Its passages give thoughtful snapshots of essential subject matter, not replacing a scientific manual on edible plants. Instead, its goal is to augment other data with an amusing read.
Moreover, a culture is defined. Plant-based eating becomes a significant part of the mainstream culinary experience, and when the merch
exists to prove it, there is no turning back the clock. V Musings Deux asserts that plant-based culture is a subset of the vegan lifestyle because its focus is the human health aspect of food consumption. It also represents a delineation of veganism because when the layers are exposed, compassion for sentient life is at the center of the plant-based lifestyle.
It is known that inflammation in the body can lead to poor health. Inflammatory processes that develop in the body from inadequate nutrition can cause systemic diseases. Circulating an abundance of dietary phytonutrients through the body by eating plenty of fruit and vegetables can quell inflammation. Plant-based eating can reduce risk factors for disease incidence, and plant foods provide healthy options for those forced to adopt dietary changes. V Musings offers an exploration of plant food benefits. Part two masterfully entices the reader into constructing a dietary regimen for disease prevention by providing the foundational knowledge necessary to maintain excellent health. And it shows the a la cart process for creating a powerful plant-based diet. One beautiful aspect of plant food is its excellent specificity; therefore, the deliberate and consistent consumption of fresh plant foods in the absence of the inflammatory effects of animal-derived foods can produce desirable results.
Additionally, V Musings examines the entry of fast-food and comfort food onto the plant-based scene. A previously option-less demographic began to see the rise in opportunities to grab a bite out,
where that was, for the most part, previously non-existent. V Musings credits the vision of independent vegan entrepreneurs who created vegan junk food and the fast-food industry's urgency to capitalize on it. Conscious flexitarians, the flexible vegetarians with a plant-centered diet and occasional meat eating, seeking healthier dietary options also contribute to plant food popularity.
V Musings acknowledges that the plant-based diet can be subjected to the mutagenic effects of high-temperature cooking. It reviews the risks for toxicity in heated plant foods and offers cooking recommendations to increase the flavor of vegetables and ensure adequate nutrient availability. Finally, an appeal is made to the FDA to require more informing packaging labels on plant-based foods.

The original hippie veggie burgers, the Vegeburger and Garden Burger that originated in England and Oregon, made way for a progressive meatless burger movement beginning in the 1970s. The first veggie
