Melissa had a long day at work today as she sits and takes a long look back on her life and how far she has come doing the same thing. At the age of 44, Melissa is ready for a change in her life. She is tired of not living but only existing. Looking back in her past, she can’t seem past this unhealthy thinking, these unhealthy habits which have a strong hold on her life.
She feels as if she’s stuck. At every step she makes forward, it takes her ten steps backward. Melissa thought. How did I get here? How do I get the life I want? Melissa reflected on her life from way back at the age of six years old.
That was the age she got her first slap, the age when she was molested. Melissa’s mom, Ms. Cheryl, was a party animal. She used to party with her guy friends, so she calls them. The nights Ms. Cheryl partied, she would ask her friend to watch Melissa and her two brothers.

Ms. Cheryl had Melissa show her what she was doing with Peter. Melissa started moving back and forth, showing them how she was playing with Peter. Both Cheryl and Betty began to laugh so hard. They had made Melissa show them over and over again.
Melissa was sad and didn’t understand why they kept asking her to show them what she was doing.
Cheryl says, Melissa, little girls don’t play with boys or men like that. Get in that house, take a bath, and get ready for dinner.
Melissa loves to go
