Sons of YHWH - Samuel A. Buah

    Introduction

    The Eternal Secret

A certain mystery was hidden from ages and generations since the world began. However, it has not only been manifested by the Holy Scriptures, but has been revealed unto holy apostles and prophets by the Holy Spirit. This mystery is that which has the power to establish the saints according to the gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ.

It was God who, from the beginning of the ages, hid this mystery in Himself. His intention was that through the revelation and fellowship therein, a people would be made so glorious so that they might declare the manifold wisdom of God to principalities and authorities in heavenly places. In other words, angels do not have access into this mystery; but they get to learn of its realities as it unfolds and manifests in the life and ministry of the sons of men (see Romans 16:25-26, 1Corinthians 2:6-8, Ephesians 3:1-10).

Apostle Paul tells us in Colossians 1:26-27 how God wants the nations to know the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. In Ephesians 3:4 and Colossians 4:3, he refers to it as the mystery of Christ. We know that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God; and Apostle John calls Him the true God and eternal life. The mystery of Christ is, therefore, the mystery of God and the mystery of eternal life. This means that our fellowship in the eternal secret makes us partakers of divinity (or godhood, or the godhead).

In a dream, one time, as I stood in a certain place, I began to speak about the mystery of eternal life. It seemed that I had suddenly received a revelation about it. I prophesied: God has eternal life which is also called life. And there is a difference between having life and living. And there is a difference between living beings and living creatures. There is God who has life, and then there are living beings or living creatures: but that we should have life. This is the promise God gave before the world began―the promise of eternal life. Whiles I was speaking, a man suddenly appeared and began buffeting me all over. I did not pay any heed to his beatings, but rather lifted up my eyes above and kept on thanking the Father for revealing this mystery to me. The man relentlessly buffeted me until I dropped to my knees. I then lifted up my eyes and saw Emmanuel (a classmate of mine way back in the Senior Secondary School) approaching. He never spoke. All he did was place his right hand upon my head whiles the man continued beating me. Without a word, he left and my focus shifted back to the man. With my right hand, I picked him up and began beating him to the ground as though he were just a stick.

I understand that this tormenter signified, like Apostle Paul spoke about in 2Corinthians 12, the angel of Satan sent to buffet me because of the mystery that was revealed to me. Emmanuel (which means, God with us), I understand to signify the Lord. Anyway, my point is that the revelation of the mystery was so precious and far more important that I initially paid no attention to the one who was buffeting me. All that I was filled with was gratitude toward the Father who had revealed this great treasure unto me.

What I want to focus on about this dream is that God promised even before the world began, that men should have the life that He has. This promise of eternal life is that which is captured in 2Timothy 1:1, Titus 1:2 & 3:7, 1John 2:25, and Jude 1:21. Apostle Paul said, godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come (1Timothy 4:8). However, Apostle John made it emphatically clear that whosoever has received the Son of God by believing on His name has eternal life (see 1John 5:11-13). Every born-again believer has eternal life, yet is called to inherit eternal life. We have both the faith and the hope of Christ.

Although God the Father has given the mystery in our heart, our fellowship therein is to unravel its realities, to the end that we might inherit the glory of God. Whosoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is a begotten child of God; but the fellowship in the mystery of Christ is to the intent that the Lord might bring many sons unto glory.

My quest in this volume is to bring you in-depth insights into understanding eternity, eternal life, our access into eternal realities; and how born-again believers partake in divinity through Christ. My earnest hope and sincere prayer is that you would come to the consciousness that Christ is all good and perfect things in whosoever believes on the name of the Son of God. Amen.

    Eternity and the Heavens

The Most High God is the possessor of the heaven and the earth. He created all things by Jesus Christ. Thus, God predates time and all creation. This realm which existed, lies beyond, and unto which time and creation are subject, is termed in Scriptures as everlasting or eternity:

"Thy throne is established of old: Thou art from everlasting" (Psalm 93:2).

"22 The LORD possessed Me in the beginning of His way, before His works of old. 23 I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was ... 27 When He prepared the heavens, I was there: when He set a compass upon the face of the depth" (Proverbs 8:22-23 & 27).

"Doubtless Thou art our Father, though Abraham be ignorant of us, and Israel acknowledge us not: thou, O LORD, art our Father, our Redeemer; Thy name is from everlasting" (Isaiah 63:16).

"But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, who are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come forth for Me One to be ruler over Israel – One whose origins are of old, from the days of eternity" (Micah 5:2, BSB).

"Art thou not from everlasting, O LORD my God, mine Holy One? … " (Habakkuk 1:12).

According to these passages, YHWH and Wisdom are from everlasting
