About this ebook

Let God in You Arise!

Did you know that born-again believers are gifted with God?

"The God-Man" expounds on the true nature of the children of God, and the path into sonship and eternal glory. It reveals that believers have all it takes to access and explore eternity and partake in divinity because they possess the faith of Christ, the Spirit of Christ, and the mind of Christ. This book elaborates on the identity of the sons of God as:

  • Cosmic conquerors.
  • True witnesses.
  • Divine counsellors.
  • Glorified ones.

"The God-Man" reveals many life-changing mysteries about The New Creature or The New Man: the mystery of the man born from above; the mystery of the man who was created before time everlasting; how born-again believers live and operate in two realms concurrently; the great mystery of godliness.

You will discover so much about your true identity in Christ as you delve into the chapters of this book.

    CLASSES OF MEN

There are two species of men that God has brought forth into this world, and a third kind which were born of angels. The first two chapters of the book of Genesis reveal the creation and formation of man. The LORD God formed man out of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. This kind is therefore earthly (human) and natural (sensual): hence, the First man (Adam) is flesh (carnal).

In the time of Noah, before the flood came, it is recorded that some angels took for wives, the daughters of men. This union gave rise to giants (Nephilim); mighty ones, which were of old, men of renown. Another mention of the Nephilim is made in Numbers 13:33. The Anakim (the sons of Anak) were said to be descendants of the Nephilim. Another tribe of giants dwelt in the land of Canaan. The second chapter of the book of Deuteronomy gives record of the Emim and the Zamzummim (a people great, and many, and tall as the Anakim) who were accounted as giants (Rephaim).

Spanning many centuries, from the generation of Noah unto Abraham, unto Moses and Joshua, even unto David the king, the Holy Scriptures give evidence of the giants (the Nephilim and the Rephaim). If these were of angels, then obviously, they were not natural men as the children of Adam, but were rather supernatural men, being the children of spirit beings. We could say that they were Angelic-men.

Yet, there is another Man who came into existence in this world: Jesus was His name. He was not born of the seed of a man or of an angel, but was rather the Holy One of God. Now, God is a spirit, divine and eternal. Therefore, Christ Jesus, being the Word of God, and born of the Spirit of God, bears these same characteristics of the Father. The Son of God is a man, not of a man or an angel; but of God. I call Him The God-Man.

Mankind is therefore in three classes: the children of Adam, the children of Angels, and the Son of God. Concerning Jesus Christ, John 1:10-13 (ASV) records that, He was in the world, and the world was made through him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and they that were his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he the right to become children of God, even to them that believe on his name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Whosoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God (see 1John 5:1). The mystery, here, is that, by receiving the Son of God into our hearts, we are born again of God the Father; thus, we also become the children of God. This is to say that, through the new birth, we receive eternal life into our hearts by our faith in Christ Jesus. We also, by the faith of Christ, hope to be made perfect and totally complete as the sons and daughters of the living God.

This is the reality: the born-again believer, like Christ Jesus, is neither of Adam nor of Angels: he or she is a man of God—a God-man: for we are, of the will of God the Father, born again with the Word of Truth through the operation of the Spirit of God. Beloved, the truth of the matter is that, if you have received and hold Christ in your heart through faith, then the life inherent in your innermost being isn’t natural, but eternal. You are, therefore, called to partake, not of the human nature, but of the divine nature, even the Godhead. You are not of the First man, but of the Second man. You are not a carnal man, but a spiritual man.

Adoption (sonship) is all about the manifestation of the very life and nature of the Eternal God Almighty, even the eternal power and Godhead, in and through a man. And this is the purpose of this book: that you might come to the certainty of your true identity in Christ Jesus, understand the peculiar characteristics of the children of God, and acknowledge all that our Father has endowed us with in order for us to access and explore eternity, and partake in divinity.

In the end, you would know and understand that as a born-again believer in Christ Jesus, your most precious gift is God; and your end, the glory of God. The grace and peace of God be multiplied unto you as you study on. Amen.

    WHAT IS MAN?

Moses, Samuel, David, Shemaiah, Elijah, Elisha, Igdaliah, other unnamed messengers and an angel were referred to as man of God in the Holy Scriptures. This terminology was used in the Old Testament to describe the bondservant of God—one who was sent and commanded by the LORD to declare and execute His word concerning a people, nation, kingdom or tongue, in the name of God—a prophet. In the New Testament, however, the KJV Bible mentions this phrase twice:

"But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness" (1Timothy 6:11).

"16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works" (2Timothy 3:16-17).

Though these Scriptures were written by Apostle Paul to admonish Timothy, a minister of God, they were also inspired to instruct every saint. Righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, and meekness are all traits to be pursued and borne by every believer; not only a select few. Also, we know that God intends the Scriptures to serve as a means of comfort, learning, and admonition for all (see Romans 15:4, 1Corinthians 10:11).

Again, in accordance with Ephesians 4:11-12, Christ gives apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers, for the perfecting of the saints unto the work of the ministry and the edification of the body of Christ. All the children of God are His workmanship created in Christ Jesus unto good works which God has before ordained that we should walk in (see Ephesians 2:10).

This means that God has given the Holy Scriptures for both His ministers and saints to come to perfection and be fully equipped unto all good works. This also suggests that both references to the man of God in the New Testament are not only describing the ministers of God, but are also to all who have the faith of Christ Jesus our Lord. Although man of God is used to refer to a minister of God in particular, every born-again believer is also a man of God. I will explain this concept later on in this book. Now, Christ Jesus is the Second/New man; and 1Timothy 2:5 says:

"For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus."

The Son of God, though God, is also a man. This is why He is able to reconcile both God and men; for a mediator is not of one, but must be able to understand and communicate well for both parties. The Lord Jesus Christ is the man who embodies all of the fullness of the Godhead. He is a different kind of man; not like Adam, the First man. So, the question is, what is man?

Interestingly, this inquiry was made in the Holy Scriptures (see Psalm 8:4-9, Hebrews 2:6-8). When the sweet psalmist of Israel pondered the excellence of God in the earth and considered His works in the heavens—the moon and the stars—he could only wonder why the omnipotent Creator was so interested in man. What was it about this tiny creature that would make God so mindful and careful about him? Here, David described man with three key things:

    • God made man a little lower than angels ('ĕlôhîym).

    • God crowned man with glory and honour.

    • God made man to have dominion over His handiworks.

The prophet expounded that the works over which God gave
