About this ebook
Eight years after the first collection many more colleagues have left Northwick Park Hospital Biochemistry laboratory.
I suspect their only real reason is to receive a poem of their own.
I have also included a few poems from other parts of my life - church and college and friends.
As before some have turned into songs.

Reference Ertugrul - Turkish TV series
It was many years ago
In a country that we know
There lived a man who was to found a great nation
He was big, he was strong
But if anything went wrong
He'd say, Let's stabilise the situation!
He was large, he was tall
He gave it everything, his all
But still had many years of trial and tribulation
And when his time was done
He passed the baton to his son
Who had to stabilise the situation
He was lucky, he was brave
He didn't stop to have a shave
He was always to his peers an inspiration
For more than 600 years
Of blood, sweat, toil and tears
The cry was, Stabilise the situation!
He has a follower today
In the shape of Mr A
He could redefine an Abdication
He was one of seven brothers
I won't mention any others -
You can use your own imagination
He started on a Quest
But it wasn't for the best
He soon had to submit his resignation
Then he came to Northwick Park
Where he quickly made his mark
As it was a much more stable situation
He rose up through the ranks
Without playing any pranks
Till he was running nearly all of Automation
And when a line would crash
He'd be there in a flash
And say, Just stabilise the situation
(Even when he was a boy
Playing with his favourite toy
He'd give it all his concentration
And when a train would crash
He'd make it tidy in a flash
And he would stabilise the railway station)
Then the time came to move on
He was here then he was gone
The job just didn't meet his expectation
But he was large, he was wide
He had nowhere left to hide
And he wanted to avoid a confrontation
But we could not let him go
Without saying, No, no, no
We have to thank you for your total dedication
Take these presents and this card
And although it might seem hard
Go out, explore and find your true vocation
So if you don't know what to do
This is my advice to you
I offer it by way of explanation
Try watching Series 2
And find out, What would Osman do?
Then go ahead and lay your own foundation.
