    Introduction

Why are habits so difficult to change? Because they are protected by the brain; your brain notices you doing a certain behavior often and seeks to make that behavior as efficient as possible, solidifying it into a habit thanks to muscle memory, conditioning, and repetition. The brain doesn’t, however, discern which habits are good and which are bad, especially for the long term.

This book will guide you step-by-step on switching your mindset by using daily rituals to make life more manageable. You have built confidence through your habit building. This book will help you remove the friction on everyday problems by establishing an abundant thinking reward system.

The act of abundant thinking will lead to more self-love; you will have more mental energy to build trust in your ability to maintain this way of thinking. You will see a boost in your self-confidence as you learn to prioritize your mental health more and more each day, and you will walk into a new self-discovery by allowing yourself to become vulnerable to yourself. It is a privileged position because it is easier to achieve personal success when you can thrive in life, not only survive. Abundance thinking may have been challenging but it is worth it. When your race, sexual orientation, and/or gender is seen as fringe or even illegal, your mind can start to accept that the world will never be safe for you. Marginalized people are more likely to experience discrimination from intersectionality and intergenerational trauma. Like many people during the pandemic, being in survival mode is almost always paired with scarcity thinking. This journey into a positive mindset will be challenging for many people, but remember to go easy on yourself and practice at your own pace.

We will focus on accessibility and affordability for all learning exercises and a strong focus on an overall sense of well-being.

Just like in the movie The Matrix, Neo, the film’s main character, has the choice to continue the self-discovery journey or ignore it and live in ignorance. Choice is an illusion created between those with power and those without, a quote from the movie.

I’m going to ask you to make a promise—not to me, but to yourself. You can choose to pursue a good life, or do nothing, and remain just however miserable you are. Will you allow yourself to have all the mental power needed to overcome obstacles in your life? Will you allow yourself to finally be happy?

    Yes

    Chapter 1

    The Daily Routine

It’s six in the morning, and you force yourself to wake up to get ready for work. You are slowly brushing your teeth and fantasizing about having your coffee in your hands. You finally figure out what to wear after staring at the mirror, trying on different outfits, and eventually landing on one that allows you to fade into the background. Now, you only have
