Eliminate All Doubt - Ash Bakre

    Chapter 1

    Faith

What is faith? The answer to this question is very simple. Faith is in all things, confident belief in the truth. Belief that does not rest on logical proof or material evidence, faith is a belief in things unseen.

The Bible scriptures said in Hebrews 11:1–3, Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

GOD is He Who created you from a drop of water, then why are you finding it hard to admit the truth? How could you denied faith If you deny faith you are denying the truth, and simply denying GOD, our Creator, because GOD is the Truth, the Reality. From GOD we all came, and to Him we shall return; our body is lent to us by Him only for a limited time.

Faith and belief work together for eternity, because no one can have faith without belief.

Belief is mental acceptance of and conviction in the truth. We can now see that both faith and belief are about the truth, both are about GOD, GOD is the Truth.

In the Qur’an, GOD said, And mix not truth with falsehood, nor conceal the truth while you know [the truth] (Qur’an 2:42). Jesus also said in the Bible: GOD is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth (John 4:24).

    Chapter 2

    Worshipping the True GOD

Whenever GOD sees some iniquity and corruption on earth, He then sends a prophet to fight against the uprising; meanwhile, the prophets always stumbled upon varieties of trials and sufferings along with those who join them to rectify the wrong.

We humans and every other creature of GOD were all created to worship the true GOD only. Verily, I am commanded to worship GOD by obeying Him and doing religious deeds sincerely for His sake (Qur’an 39:11).

In order to accomplish this task of worshipping, GOD set out some laws for us to comply with. Worshipping is our way of showing our love and expressing our thanks to Him, because there is no deity worthy of worship but the true GOD, the GOD of Light.

Worship is an authoritative order of GOD and having the force of law—a decree, an everyday duty which if well implemented, GOD then directs the worshiper to do righteously good deeds and toppled with additional rewards.

So far, we have talked about faith, belief, truth, law of GOD, worship, worshipper, and good deeds; everything still points to GOD Almighty.

    Chapter 3

    Understanding GOD’S Ordinances and Laws

GOD ALMIGHTY IS VERY STRICT about the laws He imposed upon us. The Scripture, in the book of Romans 4:15, reads:

    Because the law brings about wrath;

for where there is no law,

    there is no transgression.

What this passage is telling us is that GOD’S law is accompanied with punishment or vengeance as a manifestation of anger, a divine retribution for sin. The passage explained a bit further that if there is no law, then there wouldn’t be any sort of violation. All the mysteries of the heavens along with their uncountable stars and the planets obey the law of motion GOD decreed upon them, so are the sun and the moon influencing the temperatures and climates of the earth from millions of miles away from the earth in accordance with GOD’S law.

GOD’S law is the body of principles or precepts held to express the divine will especially as set forth in the Torah (the first five books of the Hebrew scriptures in the holy Bible: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy), the Bible, and the Qur’an. Each of these holy books is complete and distinct itself as far as the subjects treated are concerned, but through them all runs GOD’S revelation of Himself to humanity, His promise of salvation, His laws, His wishes for humanity to follow, obey, as well as His punishments. Our feces, urine, sneeze, breath, etc. are not exempt from GOD’S law. You know what happens if you delay your defecation for too long?

Law is a rule of conduct. Here on earth, law is the body of rules and principles governing the affairs of a community and enforced by a political authority and/or a legal system.

Whenever we violate any of the law as promulgated to us in our country or any other country around the world, if honestly tried and found guilty, we simply get punished in accordance with the type set up for the criminal violation. It could be a violation of traffic law, tax law, corporate law, civil law, maritime law, marriage law, or any criminal law. Violation of any of these earthly laws carries different degrees of punishments, from community service, fines, to probation or even jail time.

Many of us are very cautious not to violate any of these man-made rules of law, whereas we care less in upholding our Creator’s rules of law. Always remember, the law of righteousness and also godliness is not a new law, nor are the vanity and short duration of this world preached here for the first time. But spiritual truths have to be renewed and reiterated again, and again. There is no flaw in GOD’S plan, and it must prevail.

GOD spoke to Joshua after the death of Moses and reminded him about His law and what’s to be expected as a reward for not ignoring them: Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses my servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go (Joshua 1:7).

GOD knew aforetime that men of little faith or no faith at all will often lay down the law and instruct better people than themselves what to do or how to neglect their faith, and if you refuse them, they will shower you with insults and may even hurt you.

We too must be vigilant of hypocritical people and not fall prey to their tactics game, but rather to be bold and stand firm in our faith.

In the eighth verse, GOD told Joshua in an authoritative tone:

This book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. (Joshua 1:8)

In actual sense, GOD’S instruction to Joshua also applies to you and me today. If we meditate every day on GOD’S holy books, either the Torah or the Bible or the Qur’an, and do what GOD asked us to do, we’ll be blessed with prosperity, and paradise will be our abode.

The kindness and consideration which GOD’S law inculcates are in the best interest of individual’s own soul. But of course the kindness and consideration must be spontaneous. It must flow from individual’s own will and cannot be forced on him. As a believer, you must not allow the hypocrites to poison your pure heart against GOD.

    In the Qur’an, GOD said:

And if you obey most of those on the earth, they will mislead you far away from GOD’S path. They follow nothing but conjectures, and they do nothing but lie. (Qur’an 6:116)

The above saying of GOD in the Qur’an is also parallel to the scripture in Psalms 1:1–2:

Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night

Jesus also said in Matthew 5:17:

Do not think that I came to destroy the law or the prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill.

GOD’S law is to be learnt, kept, and performed. We as humans should pay more attention to other ways that GOD is visible in nature. There has been no exemption to the rule given by GOD to the sun, for it to rise from the east and set in the west. Similar orders were given to other objects of nature, such as the stars, moon, winds, trees, flowers, mountains, clouds, etc.; they all have no choice but comply with the command of GOD.

Take the solstice, and the monarch butterflies, for example. The solstice happens two times of the year. One is known as the summer solstice, and the second one is called the winter solstice. This is the time of the year when the sun is at its greatest distance from the celestial equator, either to the north or south. In the northern hemisphere the summer solstice occurs on June 21 or 22, the winter solstice on December 21 or 22. In the southern hemisphere, the seasons are reversed.

These dates have never failed. Solstice is a beautiful sight to watch.

The monarch butterflies also obey GOD’S law; whichever one disobeys dies, being that they are the only butterfly species known to make a two-way migration each year. They are known for the epic journeys they make each fall and spring, flying thousands of miles from the Northeast, Pacific Northwest, and also from Canada to Mexico. Whichever one of them that misses their winter migration journey to the south dies.

The true GOD has said in the Qur’an:

And unto Allah (GOD) alone falls in prostration whoever is in the heavens and the earth, willingly or unwillingly, and so do their shadows in the mornings and in the afternoons. (Qur’an 13:15)

    Chapter 4

    Are You Tired of Praying—Why?

Prayer is believed to give inner peace, comfort, happiness, and hope, while the knowledge of grace breeds a sense of restful acceptance. Prayer is a fervent and also a reverential petition made to GOD Almighty. Grace, on the other hand, is a divine love and protection conferred freely on people; grace is a temporary immunity, meaning it has to be renewed on a constant basis from GOD through prayers. Therefore a person would have to be more GOD-conscious and pray more often like the mantis, a predatory insect that prays whenever it’s at rest. You, my friend, should stop being incongruous.

Humble yourself, because sincere humility helps us to see the purpose of GOD without twisting them with our own self-seeking ways. Consider the usefulness of regular prayers in your household, how peacefully it will blend and bind your family together.

You may think it is too early to teach your children how to pray, but how can you teach what you lack knowledge of? Jesus did say in the Bible, Whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive (Matthew 21:22).

The above passage gives an illuminating view of the benefits of prayer. It’s like an open check given to you to write whatever amount of money you want; the only task you’ll have to endure from the moment you fill out the open check to the visible cash money reaching your hands would be driving to the bank, waiting in line for your turn to consult with the bank teller or cashier, and thereafter counting the money given to you. You see, it’s a staging process requiring patience all the way.

A similar process applies when you send your prayer request to GOD, you’ll have to exercise a staging process requiring the same patience in order to get GOD’S response to your prayer. Many people in our world today don’t pray for patience, thus creating unnecessary anxiety. Patience is a virtue, and virtue, as we were told, is the fifth of the nine orders of angels; this proves how powerful patience is. Psalm 34:7 did enlighten us that the angel of the LORD encamps all around those who fear Him, And delivers them.

There you are, my friend. You must never feel tired of praying; even your children must be taught how to pray, and in order for you to teach them how to pray, you must first mature in your own prayer skills and ability as the Scripture emphasized in Hebrews 5:12–14: For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of GOD; and you have come to need milk and not solid food . . . those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

A vast majority of people don’t know how to pray; most of them will tell you bluntly they’ve never prayed before.

These sets of people rely on other people to conduct their own prayers for them. As I recalled many years ago, I escorted an aunt of mine to the house of a spiritual man (as my aunt called him); her mission to this man’s house was for the man to pray for her. After their initial greetings, the man said to her, Please allow me to eat quickly. I’ll be right with you. And he was gone for the meal. The man simply could not in any way concentrate on praying for her with an empty stomach.

My aunt should have learnt how to pray by herself, instead of sharing her personal life problem with another man, who had a problem of his own needing solving. GOD has said in the Qur’an:

And seek help in patience and prayer,

And truly, it is extremely heavy and hard except for the true believers in [ALLAH] GOD.

    (Qur’an 2:45)

Dear reader, prayer works. It prevents you from committing great sin and evil shameful deeds, you only have to exercise a little patience for it to manifest itself. I now beseech you to do exactly as we’re commanded in Psalm 37:34:

Wait on the LORD, and keep His way,

    And He shall exalt you

"Wait on the Lord. This is an order you must adhere to. The instruction thus continued with and keep his way." This is a fabulous scriptural knowledge shown here; while you’re waiting patiently on the LORD for His answer to your prayer
