About this ebook

As the days and times that we live in grow more and more evil, we, who profess to be Christians or Christ-like, can learn from God's Word how to be a stone thrower of the God-kind like David and not a stone thrower like the teachers of the law and the religious Pharisees who tried to trap Jesus into saying something incriminating so that they could bring charges against him.

David was a stone thrower of the God-kind, and in the eyes of man, he looked insignificant but his heart having been tested and tried was found to be undivided and loyal and he was willing and obedient to fight for God's righteous cause, defeating the enemy of God. "For the eyes of the LORD run back and forth throughout the whole earth (eretz,) to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him" (2 Chronicles 16:9 HNV).

God is looking for these stone throwers of a God-kind who he can show himself strong in and through in these last days. They are God-seekers, God-lovers, who are humble, willing, loyal, faithful, and courageous. They are obediently led by his Spirit to fulfill God's plan, always making their boast in the Lord and giving all the glory to God. Through this book, you will see the process that David went through in preparing him to fight for God's righteous cause. I strongly believe that as you read this book, you will receive understanding that everything in life that you have been through was not for your demise and how God can turn it all around and use it for his good to prepare you for his great exploits in these last days. My prayer for you is that your heart will be stirred to believe that perhaps "you-yes, you-are a stone thrower of the God-kind in the making."

To Glenn Fisher, who I describe as an Ephesians 5:25–28 husband. Your immense love for God is demonstrated through your unselfish and sacrificial care of me, and it has caused me to bloom and mature into the woman that I am becoming. You are a man of great wisdom and faith, and I honor you as God’s man, my best friend, and husband. You are my gem; and I will love, honor, and cherish you as long as we both shall live.

To my lovely sisters: Lynda, Gloria, Joanie, Trina, and Andrea. I am thankful to have each of you in my life. Please do know that I love you and that this is my continued prayer for you, according to Ephesians 3:14–21:

For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God. Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

All glory, honor, and praise to my Father God and my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who is my treasured relationship above all! Thank You for your love and saving grace, which saved me and transferred me out of the kingdom of darkness and into the kingdom of your marvelous light and for always being there to see me through every troubling situation that I have ever been through. You are my Rock on which I can stand on, rely on, and trust in, and I thank you for giving to me the precious Holy Spirit who is my help, my comfort, my standby, and my greatest teacher that always leads me and guides me into all truth!

    Introduction

    December 20, 2019

Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me. This is a common childhood chant, meaning hurtful words cannot cause any physical pain, and it will be ignored or disregarded and that I will never be affected by people’s criticism. Many reading this may remember at one time or another and a scenario like this taking place on a school playground. Children are running, playing, and chasing after each other during recess. All of a sudden, one of the children hollers at another schoolmate, calling them a bad name. In reply, the schoolmate shouts back, Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me. We can laugh at this now as adults, but if we are truthful, we all know for a fact that the words of the other individual that were aimed to hurt us did its work, and we felt the sting of pain in the depths of our heart. We may have acted like it did not cause us any hurt at all, but when we were alone, the words returned to haunt us, and we may have even cried tears to release the effects of those words that were thrown at us. We would like to think that we have outgrown this figure of speech; however, I pose this question to each person: Have we really? Have we learned anything at all, or are we just as much the same as these children in the day and age that we are living in? Our words are like seeds that we sow daily in the lives of others, whether or not they are in our presence or not. The power of our words either brings life or death, and it results in a harvest of what was sown.

Scripture tells us in Psalm 12:6 (TPT), For every word God speaks is sure and every promise pure. His truth is tested, found to be flawless, and ever faithful. It’s as pure as silver refined seven times in a crucible of clay.

The clay furnace is the heart of man. We are the earthen vessels inside which God has placed his flawless words. His words test us, they try us, and they refine us, seven times over, until they are purified and assimilated into our spirits. The fire of testing purifies us as vessels to carry his Word within our hearts. His Word produces righteousness after his kind which is the God-kind. We must be able to look within our own heart and ask ourselves this question. Are we more involved into looking into the lives of others, pointing fingers and making judgments upon them and spewing hurtful words into the atmosphere and throwing stones at them, when in fact, God has required us to evaluate our own lives, judging our own thoughts, behaviors, and actions that can alter our own life so that we line up with God’s Word, which is his will for our life? God desires that we be carriers of his presence and of his Word for the words that he speaks, they are Spirit and they are life.

I must begin by explaining to you, the reader, how this title of this book, Stone Thrower, was given to me. In the latter part of the year 2019, in the month of December, I was experiencing a lot of frustration with the state or condition of our nation by watching the news. All the bantering and discord displayed daily in the media was very disheartening to see. Media is actually plural for medium and the definition of a medium is a channel or system of communication and information. What we do not realize is that what we hear from the media are words sown into the life of the hearer, and at some point, it has an effect on us. On the inside of me, I then heard these words: Be careful when giving ear to the media and Use discernment. Don’t believe everything that you hear because what you hear forms your opinions. Always ask God to show you concerning all things, He will always give you the truth. God wants us to be able to discern the times that we are living in. There is not only great division in our nation, but it has also infiltrated into the body of Christ and this should not be so. Instead of seeking God and asking him what is going on, getting his heart on the matter and praying it through on his behalf, many have become like the stone throwers in John chapter 8. Believers are arguing amongst each other over political matters and their choices for who they voted for to represent the people as our governmental leaders. Highly respected leaders in the church posting things on social media, being critical of others who did not believe like they do and coming against others who voted for different political parties and arguing back and forth. I was so disheartened to see that we were not only a nation divided, but a church divided. I have a great respect for our church leaders; however, because I was seeing some church leadership in the same condition as our government leaders, I began to question, how could the church be so divided? I found myself in a state of grief over it all, and I began to experience such great confusion and turmoil within. It was in my frustration that I knew there was one thing and one thing only that had to be done. I had to
