Daily Devotions is important in the life of every believer. In order for believers to have their faith strengthened and undergirded, it is essential to daily spend time in God’s Word. It is God’s Word that brings life and light into our lives. Therefore, God’s Word in the life of every believer must be valued as a treasure. For what is more precious than life and life eternal with God. The songwriter writes these words: “Lord You Are More Precious Than Silver and Costlier Than Gold . . .” So as we treasure his Word, we demonstrate his immense worth to us. The Bible says that we must keep his Word hidden in our hearts and that what we treasure, we place in a safe place. God’s precious Word is essential for our personal growth, and it contains messages of hope, direction, and focus. It is our source of strength when we are weak, and it is a daily inspiration to our souls. It is my hope that you will always treasure the time that you can spend in God’s Word and that this devotional will be your inspiration in doing that.

PROLOGUE

I WAS INSPIRED to write this devotional book when the Lord directed me to share daily encouraging messages on my Facebook page in conjunction with corresponding scriptures. Each time I considered stopping, people frequently have written to me, encouraging me to continue with this ministry. Some have stated that they find it to be helpful to them and they look forward to reading the devotional messages each day. So, I am blessed to present this devotional book, and I pray that as you read and meditate on these devotional messages, they will not only teach, inspire, encourage, and strengthen you in your spiritual walk but also cause you to spiritually spring forth anew.
