About this ebook

David cried out to the Lord, “Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer. From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I. For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy. Psa. 61:2-3

This was one of many prayers King David prayed when he was overwhelmed. In fact, some of his best prayers came forth when he was overwhelmed and in the cave. King David knew about going through tough times, and he didn’t allow the problems to defeat or define who he was in the Lord. David would cry out to the Lord and trust the Lord to attend to his prayer. David knew the trials he went through, and all his suffering wouldn’t be in vain. He had faith to believe that God would be glorified through his problems. He was a man after God’s heart.

There will be times when we may fail to see how God wants to use our problems for good His good. Today, at this very moment, some of us are in our caves going through hard times, and we feel as though we are walking this journey all alone. You are not alone, the Lord promised He would never leave us nor forsake us. I pray as you meditate on the words in this book, you will be strengthened and encouraged to press your way. I pray you will be led to the Rock; inspired to rise up and walk in the Spirit, hold fast, and understand that through the good times and the bad, the Father has never left you, and He is guiding you by His Spirit. The words in this devotional are written as if “The Still Small Voice” is speaking to you; encouraging and inspiring you to press your way to the “Rock" of your salvation.

God is at work in our lives, even when we don’t recognize it or understand it. When we take our eyes off the problems and acknowledge that the Lord is bigger than anything we will ever face, things will progress much easier. The Lord is fully capable of meeting and exceeding, every impossible situation, or decision we face. Doing the impossible is God's specialty. We serve a God who looks at the hopeless situation and says, “It’s possible.” Think for a moment of His greatness and remember a hopeless situation you encountered and how the Lord did the impossible in your life. PRAISE THE LORD!

When you learn to focus on His Greatness and His Love, and not your problem; God can and will do the impossible in your life. No matter what you are facing; trust God to handle all that concerns you. All we must do is cooperate with Him by asking the Lord to reveal His perfect will in our situation; then trust Him and don’t put a time limit on God. He already knows what time it is! Let God be God and allow Him to work it out in His time, so all will be complete and in order. When you are abiding with Him, and He abides with you, He will cause the situation you face to unfold in victory. He will not fail you! Our God is supernatural and will never leave us and He delights in showing us Who He really IS!

Do you believe right now, that God can help you in your very difficult, seemingly hopeless situation? Do you believe that God is with you amid what you are going through? Do you believe Him when He says, “I will never leave you, nor forsake you? It is one thing to talk about an All-Powerful God, but it's another thing to believe that He is right there with you and available to you today. Do you believe that when your heart is overwhelmed that He will lead you to the Rock? If you believe that the Lord God is more than able, then show Him how much you love Him, by counting it all joy as you go through valley days.

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. John 16:33

When I am not busy with the ministry or writing, I'm trying out new dessert recipes (I love to bake), and listening to some good inspirational music. Prayer

    Heavenly Father,

In the name of Jesus, I come boldly before Your throne of grace and mercy to find help in my time of need. Father, from the depths of despair, I call for Your help. O; Lord, please bend down, hear my prayer and answer me. Have mercy, LORD, for I am in distress. My sight is blurred because of my tears. My body and soul are withering away. Great and mighty Jehovah, I ask in the name of Jesus Christ, that you to replace every form of spiritual weakness and weariness in my life with the strength and refreshing from above.

Lord, You said if I kept my eyes upon You, that You would not suffer my foot to be moved, and the enemy would not overtake me. You promise to keep me in perfect peace if I keep my mind on You. Now, Lord, please help me to keep my mind on You, as I journey through this difficult situation. I ask you to strengthen me to pursue, overtake and conquer the enemies trying to hinder me from reaching my destiny. I thank you for ministering to my spirit and reminding me that no weapon formed against me shall prosper.

Lord, I thank you for hearing my prayer. I thank you for interceding for me and taking my prayers before Your Father. I thank you for giving me the victory this day. I lift your Holy Name, and I give you all the glory, the honor, and the praise.

    In Jesus name, I pray

    Amen

Turn thee unto me and have mercy upon me; for I am desolate and afflicted. The troubles of my heart are enlarged: O bring thou me out of my distresses. Look upon mine affliction and my pain and forgive all my sins. Psa. 25:16 -18

When we think about January, we think of it as a time of renewal, a time for a new beginning, a time to let go of the past and move on. So, as we reflect upon what the Lord brought us through, let us be reminded that nothing is too hard for the Lord. He brought us through trials, circumstances, and situations that we thought we wouldn’t survive. He opened doors that were once impossible for us to open. He opened doors that were closed in our faces time and time again, and then He closed doors that we didn’t have the strength to close.

Our Lord and Savior remind us there is nothing too difficult for Him. He is on His throne, and His Spirit is within us. He can break through our cloudy days and cause the sun to shine in our darkest night. All we must do is have faith in His word; for when the Lord decrees a thing in your life, there is nothing that can stop His word from coming forth. He is more than able to watch over His word and will bring it to pass regardless of how the situation may look. He is the God of possibilities.

Be faithful to the word He has spoken, and do not let the enemy talk you out of your promise. God will accomplish all He has said to you. God is for us, and not against us. He will never forsake us or leave us. Fear not, stand firm and declare the glory of the Lord in your life. God delivered you in the past and He has plans to do even more for you in the future. Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever. He never changes.

I Am Greater Than Your Desperate Situation

Read and Meditate on His Word

    Jer. 32:27, Mat. 17:20, Pro. 3:5, 1Jn 5:14-15

Listen to the Still Small Voice

I want to remind you that I never left you, nor have I forsaken you. Put your trust in Me. Begin this season with renewed trust and faith in Me. No longer put your trust only in the things you can see. Stand steadfast. Put your trust in My word and do not be moved by the storms and wind. Put on the helmet of salvation, and let this mind be in you as it is in Christ Jesus.

My Child, why do you believe this situation is impossible, and I can’t deliver you? I have not changed. I will not fail you. Don’t lean on man or your own understanding. I want you to lean and depend on Me. I promised to give you the desires of your heart if you delight yourself in Me, and I keep My promises.

Don’t allow this situation to cause your faith to stagger, and doubt that you heard My voice. You know My voice. Whenever I speak to you, believe it and act upon it, for it shall come to pass. And I want you to believe right now that I will deliver you amid the seemingly desperate situation you’re battling.

Stop believing in your problems more than you believe in Me. If you believed in Me as much as you believed in your problems, things would be different. Start expecting Me to do the unexpected when you pray. Expect great things to happen in your life. Believe it and see that desperate situation turned around.

    Let Us Pray

Lord, please help our unbelief. Cause us to magnify Your name instead of magnifying the problem, by speaking forth Your word. Strengthen us so we can give You continual praise for the things You are doing in our lives.

    Don’t Hold Onto Yesterday

Read and Meditate on His Word

    Isa. 42:9, Isa. 43:18; 65:16, Hag. 2:9

Listen to the Still Small Voice

Why are you still holding on to yesterday? When you hold onto yesterday, it will spoil your tomorrow. Yes, there are lessons you should learn from the past; however, do not let the pain of yesterday hinder your blessings of tomorrow. If you don’t release yourself from the past, it will birth forth a bitterness that will destroy your future blessings. Release the hurt and past disappointments. Release them. I am doing a new thing, and I want you to be a part of it.

My Child, release the past and lay hold of that which is coming to you. Seek Me for divine guidance on where to go; what to say, and what to do. Talk to Me. Yes, talk to Me; listen, and be still. Wait until you hear what My Spirit is saying to you. And as you wait in My presence, I will work in your spirit to remove the pain; heal your wounded areas and restore what the enemy took away.

It is My desire to clothe you with praise for the heaviness of the past. Therefore, don’t hold onto yesterday. Give Me all that’s troubling you. Yes, give Me your yesterdays, and I will give you a new beginning. I will give you a greater and brighter tomorrow. You will be amazed when you see you haven’t missed anything, and that the best is yet to come.

    Let Us Pray

Father, sometimes the thoughts and pain of yesterday plagued our minds, and we find it hard to let go. It’s not that we want to hold onto it; we just can’t seem to find a way to put the past mistakes behind us and move on. Oh Lord, hear our plea and purge us of all the hurtful memories of the past, and help us to start over again.

    Weep No More

Read and Meditate on His Word

    Psa. 30:5, Rom. 8:18, 2 Co. 1:20; 4:17

Listen to the Still Small Voice

It’s time for you to stop weeping and worrying. The One who conquered the enemy of your soul is with you. So, allow Me to wipe away your fears along with those tears, and embrace you with My love. Nothing you’ve gone through can compare to the power of My healing and restoration. My mercy will soothe your wounds, and My grace will cover it all. Lift your head and weep no more. Encourage yourself and know that all is well, and all is in My hand.

My promises are yes and amen. Therefore, it’s time for you to say amen over the things that I have promised you. When you say amen, you are affirming what you heard and declaring it to be the truth. My word is the truth. Weep no more and say amen. Declare that it will happen and receive it in your life. I am the Amen. I am greater than anything coming against you. Weep no more. My word is the truth. Say yes and amen; agree with Me and weep no more.

    Let Us Pray

Dear Lord, thank You for drying my weeping eyes and helping us to see the importance of holding fast to the promises of the Lord. The hardships we endure can’t compare to the blessings that will come afterward. So, I say thank you for turning my mourning into joy.

    Don’t Fear; I Have a Plan

Read and Meditate on His Word

    Deu. 31:6, Jer. 29:11-12, Rom. 8:37, Jas 4:7, 1Jn 4:4

Listen to the Still Small Voice

    My Child,

Your absolute surrender has enabled Me to do more with you than you can imagine. However, your surrender and faith in Me have also made you a target for the enemy, but do not fear his attacks. No matter what he throws at you, his weapons won’t prosper. I have already overcome him, and I have a divine plan for you. Stay on the designated course and you will find all that you need.

I am the answer to all your questions. I am One who loves you; watches over you and gave you the authority to destroy the works of the enemy. Therefore, don’t be fearful and weak, speak the Word over your situation. Stay fully submitted to Me. Resist what he’s trying to do, and he will flee. Don’t allow him to hinder My plans for you.

You have the Greater One watching over you to provide you with hope in a hopeless world. Don’t allow the enemy to make you feel small and helpless. Rise and rebuke the spirit of fear. Boldly speak forth My word. You are more than a conqueror, and you are mighty in Me. Trust in every word I have spoken. I will do what I promised. Don’t be fearful. Look to Me; for I have a plan for you.

    Let Us Pray

Yes, Lord, we believe; please help our unbelief as we walk with You. Help us to remember that You’ve already worked things out for our good.

    Count It All Joy

Read and Meditate on His Word

    John 16:33, 2 Co.10:5, Eph. 2:10, Jas 1:2-3, 1 Pet. 4:12-13

Listen to the Still Small Voice

I see you’ve become frustrated with the situation you’ve been battling. Think it not strange that this is happening to you. Do not allow your frustrations to turn into fear. Remember, I said you would have trials, but to be of good cheer, because I overcame everything you will encounter. Therefore, don’t allow the circumstances to overwhelm you. Never forget who you are in Me. Stumbling blocks might slow you down, but they can’t stop your blessing.

I know right now it doesn’t feel like it, but you are winning the battle. So, don’t dwell on the negative circumstances. Oh, I know it’s not always easy to do, but learn to count it all joy. Stand knowing who you are in Me. Rise above what you’re feeling and bring every thought captive into obedience to My word.

You are My workmanship, and I created you to do good works. Therefore, don’t allow anything to rob you of your promises. Instead, offer Me a sacrifice of praise and turn what seems to be a stumbling block into a stepping-stone to your victory. Count it all joy and start praising Me for the blessings being birthed from this situation. Count it all joy that you were chosen to bring glory to My name. Yes, count it all joy, and know that in Me, you have the victory.

    Let Us Pray

Heavenly Father, there are times it’s hard to count it all joy when trouble is all around us. However, knowing that it will bring us closer to You, we will lift our voice and praise You through the storm.

    Bring Me Your Burdens

Read and Meditate on His Word

    Psa. 55:22; 107:19-21, Mat. 11:28, 1 Co. 15:58,

Listen to the Still Small Voice

Beloved, bring your burdens to Me in the secret place of My presence, and there in that place we will commune together. I will hear and answer your prayers. I will bring you to a place of spiritual strength and courage.

Let faith rule and reign in every circumstance. Hold on to what blesses you and loose yourself from everything else. Release your faith; know that I have heard you and move according to My word. Don’t allow your symptoms to speak louder than your faith. Strengthen your resolve to believe Me for complete healing and restoration in this situation.

Press your way and be steadfast; immovable, and remember Who I Am. I am the God that heals you. I am the God that restores. Therefore, loose yourself from those burdens; bind yourself to My word, and know there is nothing too difficult for Me.

    Let Us Pray

Lord, although the situation may seem too heavy to bear, we take comfort in knowing that You are The Heavy Load Bearer and won’t put more on us than we can bear. Thank you, Lord, for allowing us to cast this burden at your feet.

    What I Promised You

Read and Meditate on His Word

    Psa. 37:4-5; 66:12, Jas. 1:17, 2Co. 1:20, Psa. 27:14

Listen to the Still Small Voice:

You’ve been in a place of long-suffering over a one-sided relationship which you earnestly covered in prayer. I watched you love, cry and forgive; then pray and release over and over again. Precious one, I know of your faithfulness and the battle you fought to keep things in order. However, isn’t it time for you to release those old relationships to Me so I can give you something new?

Allow Me to have My way in your life, and I will position you in a new place. It will be a place created for you and one that will be blessed with healthy relationships. There’s only one thing that should be done before this can be established in your life, and that’s to lay all your wants and desires in My hands. I want to give you something better; something new and exciting. However, you must have faith to let go of what’s in your hand and trust Me.

You’ve tried to do it on your own. Now, this time, why don’t you trust Me to create and design the relationship for you? Look to Me for the answers you desire; for all that’s good and perfect comes from Me. I want to bring you out into a place of enlargement that is wonderfully rich in fellowship and loving support. So, trust Me and be patiently waiting. Allow Me to create the relationships that will draw and keep you nearer to Me. If you do, you won’t be disappointed.

    Let Us Pray

Oh Lord, what a comfort to know that Your promises are yea and amen. Father, now teach us to patiently wait for the fulfillment of Your word. Teach us to know that what we’ve asked for is already on the way.

    What You Don’t Know

Read and Meditate on His Word:

    Dan 10:12, John 13:7, 1Th. 5:21, Heb. 10:23

Listen to the Still Small Voice

I know it appears to you and others who are watching that I am not doing anything about your situation. However, you know within your spirit that is not true. Look at where you are now. You may not be where you want to be, nevertheless, if I wasn’t working in your life, things would be much worse.

Take some time and think back to when you thought I was too quiet, and you felt like I didn’t care. I was working behind the scene to bring a change in your life. Didn’t I provide for you? Didn’t I work things out for your good? Yes, I did. I was with you then, and I am with you now.

You prayed and stood on My word, and I moved mountains out of your way. Therefore, don’t worry about what others are saying. Don’t worry about what you don’t know. Recall the things you did before and do them again. Yes, pray and hold fast to what you know to be true, My word. I delivered you in times past. Now, believe that I will do it again.

    Let Us Pray

Heavenly Father, we are ever so grateful for Your loving kindness. You continue to work things out for us even when we’re complaining about waiting. Lord, please keep Your hands upon our life teach us how to wait in faith for the promises to come to pass.

Come and walk with Me in a close relationship and be one with Me in Spirit.

Come forth, not as a victim, but as a victor. Walk in the land that I have provided for you. Walk in the faith that I have given you and move the mountains standing in your way. My child, I gave you a measure of faith; you watered it, nurtured it, walked with it, and it is a mighty weapon. Your faith is a weapon that will cause you to prevail during hard times. Therefore, use your weapon of faith.

Read and Meditate on His Word

    Don’t Waver

Read and Meditate on His Word

    Mat.6:26, Mar. 9"23, Rom. 4:20, Heb. 10:23, Jas 1:6

Listen to the Still Small Voice

Do not waver in your faith. Don’t tremble as if there’s no hope and think that I won’t answer your prayers. I am with you and will see you through this storm, just as I have in past times. Believe, only believe. Believe and know that just one word from Me and the turmoil will be still. That’s all you need… just one word.

Believe in Me and allow Me to speak a word into your life that will strengthen you. Believe in Me and you will be able to stand during the storm raging around you. Oh, how I want to amaze you, and I will if you don’t waver in faith. Don’t waver and you will see My hand guiding you; moving the giants out of the way and leading you to My provision.

My child, nothing is impossible to those who believe. Therefore, don’t waver, and start trusting. Stager not at My promises through unbelief, but be strong in faith, knowing that I can do all that I have promised. Let not your heart be troubled any longer. If I care for the sparrow, how much more do you think I care for you, whom I love?   Waver not any longer, just trust in My word.

    Let Us Pray

Heavenly Father, strengthen us that we may boldly stand on Your word and not waver because of the circumstances that surround us. Help us to keep our eyes upon You, and not on the troubles. Lord, You alone are our only hope.

    Don’t Worry About Tomorrow

Read and Meditate on His Word

    Mat. 6:33-34, 1 John 4:18

Listen to the Still Small Voice

Why are you worried about your future, when I hold your future in My hand? Why are you more motivated by fear than faith? Do not concern yourself with the tomorrows.  I am your tomorrow. So, don’t allow fear to motivate you to do things your own way. Fear will only move you further from My will. I want you to be motivated by the love you have for Me.

Never forget that I hold your times and seasons in My hand.  Therefore, don’t concern yourself with tomorrow. Be diligent to take care of today's concerns by equipping yourself in My word. Soak in My presence and be loosed from the spirit of fear and let your faith in Me swallow up the stress of life.

Put your faith and trust in Me, and you will not be troubled. Trouble won’t have a place in your life if you continue to walk in My perfect love. It’s time you believe more in My promises than the problems around you. Now, don't worry about your future, your future is in My Hands.

    Let Us Pray

Oh Lord, thank You for holding our future in Your hands. Thank You for taking away the worries of tomorrow and teaching us how to be thankful for today.

    Return to Thy First Love

Read and Meditate on His Word

    John 13:34-35, Mark 12:30-31, Rev 2:4-5

Listen to the Still Small Voice

I have demonstrated My love to you repeatedly. Now, I ask you to demonstrate your love afresh to Me. Return to your first love. Fall in love with Me again. It’s not a hard thing to do. Will you this day renew your commitment to having Me first in your life? Will you love Me with all your heart, and soul and spirit?

I want you to love Me enough to spend time with Me before things fall apart. I want to be a part of everything that happens in your life, not just your emergencies. I want you to be one with Me as I am one with My Father. And this can only happen if you renew your vows and love Me as you did in the beginning.

Return to your first love and commit yourself into My care. Trust that My plans for you are good. Keep your heart undivided before Me and walk close by My side. Come close; allow Me to touch you and breathe new life into you and your situation. That’s all you need; just a touch from Me.

My child, you are so precious to Me. Don’t you remember the sacrifice that I made to become your first love? If you do, then return to Me. I love you. I love you with an everlasting love. Every day I demonstrate My love to you. Now, will you demonstrate your love to Me?

    Let Us Pray

Lord, please help us to hunger and thirst for more of You in our lives. May Your name be the first word; we are utter when we rise and long for throughout the day.

    Is it of Me?

Read and Meditate on His Word:

    Matthew 11:28-30, Heb. 12:1

Listen to the Still Small Voice

My yoke is easy, and My burden is light, so why do you add things to your life that are not of Me? I designed your path to be a walk of faith, not one of struggle. Lay aside the weight that you’ve added to your life and take My yoke upon you. Learn to listen for My voice, and you will know whether it is of Me.

My child, I wouldn’t cause you to be weak and helpless. I would never leave you worn and powerless. Therefore, I ask you to come to Me when you’re weary. I will give you the strength needed to walk this

road and to take care of the responsibilities I have given to you. I have equipped you with great power from on high. Therefore, put down the cares you added. Lay hold to the things that I’ve called you to do, and together we will go forward and take the land.

    Let Us Pray

Jesus, when we are weary and tired, please teach us how to recognize whether the yoke we are carrying is of you, or of our own doing.

    Pray and Faint Not

Read and Meditate on His Word

    Gen. 32:24-26, Psa. 55:17, Luke 18:1, 2 Co. 1:20,

    1Th. 5:17, Jas. 5:16

Listen to the Still Small Voice

I want you to pray. Pray without ceasing. Do not give up on Me. I haven't given up on you. Don't grow weary in waiting and lose sight of the promises I have spoken to you. My promises will come to pass; remember they are yea and amen in Christ Jesus. Therefore, keep your eyes on Me. Everything will pass away, but My Word. Hold on to My word and pray.

Pray, so you don’t dwell on your circumstances more than you dwell on Me. Focus on Me. Focus on My Word. My Child, remember that this fight is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual wickedness coming against you. Fight the good fight of faith; pray in the spirit. Pray and faint not.

Dear One, I am neither a silent God, nor am I a deaf God, who does not hear your prayers. I am always listening. I’m always working. I never grow tired of taking care of you. I’m working even though you cannot see it. I’m working in the places where you need Me the most. I am working all things for your good.

Pray and keep planting those seeds of faith and hope. Don't grow weary, and don’t stop praying. Don't let go until you receive your blessing. Watch and pray. I say unto you this day "Men ought to always pray, and faint not. Pray! Pray! Pray!

    Let Us Pray

Father, there are times that worry caused us to believe that everything should happen right now. Praying without ceasing will give us peace that it will manifest on time; God's time
