Eight Strategies for Parenting: Training Our Children for Success for a Secure Future
()
About this ebook
This book is about having a successful family. I have raised three daughters who are doing well for themselves. They all have successful jobs and families. We created an atmosphere for learning by using the principles of God's Word. When we learn to apply the Word of God to our daily lives, it allows our children to excel in the home as well as school.
This is a book to help parents teach their children to apply God's Word to their daily life and become successful. It was a struggle at first, but with the struggles came the success. I felt compelled to write this book to help parents who are struggling. I worked in a school system for eighteen years and have seen the struggles parents have every day. Not only did I see the struggles in the schools as a pastor for the past sixteen years but also those struggles are becoming more and more for parents. I feel God didn't intend on us failing as parents, and that's why I wanted to share some of my convictions and concerns on how to be successful.

I am indebted to the many pastors whom I have worked under over the years. From my first day at Spring Street Missionary Baptist Church, Rev. James Flakes taught me what a shepherd of the flock meant. Rev. Samuel Greer has continued that mentoring and showed me how to provide pastoral care in a large church. Together, they have allowed me to see what it truly means to care for the body of Christ with excellence.
I am grateful for the Spring Street Missionary Baptist Church. They show the love for Christ in a tangible way every day. They are faithful servants of Christ, and our church is better because of their labor. I am
