About this ebook

"He was standing in front of him with his hands still raised. Calmly said, “What happened here on this day. I think you might be the key. I can’t explain it to you...”

A wave of images flashed before Albert. Memories of him training, terrified in a jump room, almost overcame him what he was able to retain.

“...but maybe I can unlock enough for you to figure it out yourself...”

Albert cautious, “How do I know this isn’t another trick?”

“You don’t, but what’s your alternative. It doesn’t hurt to listen.”

Sparks flickering, a thick smoke with a synthetic taste filled the air. Albert was inside the building on the third floor getting yelled at by the tall man.

“As you draw your answers out of me?”

“I’ve already got my answer..."

Hello,For those of you who are new, I hope you enjoy. If you've already read some of these, I'm glad you're back. It's been terrible for building trust and invites all sorts of nonsense, but my lack of presence is better for new readers to get into the story and character. So I'm elusive for that reason, mostly. If you're interested in getting to know me, forgive us, you can check my other social media for that, but I'm afraid you won't find much at the moment. I keep putting it off. Some of these are quick easy reads I hope will leave you laughing or with some sort of satisfied wonder (I know. I'm finishing them.) Others are over stylized with complex plot structures that require inquisition.I can't promise you'll like everything I write, but you'll know (for the most part) what you're getting into.Complex issues, simple themes. Characters opinions are their own.If you like any of them please share. I appreciate every one of you who have.

Heinlyn shifted his head unfeasibly to peek while the father rummaged through the trunk seemingly to have found what he was after.

He grasped it with both hands, returned to Heinlyn.

    What is it? Heinlyn enquired.

The father removed its velvet dressing.

A crystalline orb fractured and pieced back together with a strange whirling mixture fixed within.

A relic of both before and after, He told him. But, I’m afraid it has long since ceased in its capability.

    What did it do?

You’d never believe even seeing it yourself.

Heinlyn sighed. Forgive me, He said, no effort to hide his frustration. I’m tired and not feeling well. I’d like to go to my room.

You think I’m poking fun at you?

No, just a parlor trick with a crystal ball. I’ve been to the carnival.

The father stepped around him. Held the orb so it reflected in the mirror. Turn around.

    Heinlyn’s eyes awakened.

Inside the mirror its mixture churned giving off the most magnificent light so bright it should’ve lit the entire room, but instead drew inward leaving obscure shadows throughout. The longer he gazed the more enraptured he became barely making out his surroundings.

Heinlyn stepped closer. His reflection in the water below rippling with his footstep.

    Goosebumps shield his body.

    Above him the heavens swirl.

A sound like singing bowls over odd high pitched shifting tones.

His vision bending as he looked back at the mirror. Countless eyes red in anger staring from as far as could be seen.

A white flash as he was pulled away.

Creeping through the woods, slow moving color, spectral prism distortions as the images sustain. Saw through his own eyes, but no control of his
