"The stranger didn’t find his words comforting.

“Change does not happen in the moment itself, but the approach. We all fall for it from time to time. Lose sight of our better judgment, through clever words or a hint of spite. Do not let it cloud your vision now. This step will determine the next, which foot that leads will determine whether the hand is extended or clenched.”

The Stranger sighed running his tongue along his back molars and shook his head knowing he meant well, but couldn’t shake the fact just days ago he was as deluded as all the rest.

His eyes began to water admitting he’d been wrong about so many things.

The stranger told the Cleric, “There is something deep in some men that search for answers in reason, but he is not one of them. That is not where he finds his validation. If you’re determined to succeed in making him understand, then you will fail.”
