    Penalty Company #7 - T.K Myur

    Chapter 1

    Penalty Company #7

    Ascendancy

    Chapter 1

Puta Madre! the hafling exclaimed a Dullahan’s serrated blade passing over it’s sombrero. And then some! Kylla said spinning sweeping with her scythe. A wave of red mana surging through an advancing horde of skeletal warriors. Bones and dust exploded from the contact as more replaced them relentlessly driving at them from all sides. The wights and skeletons moved with shocking speed crashing into the ranks of Gilly and Cortege as they scrambled to cover one another in the chaotic melee.

Gumptin the capital city of the Underworld was under attack from the forces of the undead. Wights and skeletons roamed descending upon the citizens in a swarm of malice and violence. Gigantic armored dullahan rode through the streets on pale undead steeds with flaming red eyes. Gilly and Cortege had originally deployed to evacuate Gumptin and the surrounding cities. Dunkan Ribald was on the front line cleaving through the endless waves of wights and skeletons. They wielded clubs, axes and sickles as they carved up the horrified civilians on the streets. A cluster of floating skulls bathed in crimson fire shot through the air shrieking like mad as they tore into the flesh of those unfortunate enough to cross their paths.

Undead hooded shaman hovered their bodies covered in auras of mana as they fired bolts into homes that detonated setting them ablaze with green flames. Intertwined with the undead were the forces of Shuga their gold and red uniforms making no illusion of who their enemies were. Whatever Shuga had done to entice the host of the undead out of Pandaria had gotten them deeply motivated. They had walked into an ambush. The Councils would have some tough questions to answer when this settled. Behind Dunkan Kylla and her Sugar Skulls were holding their ground against the mob of undead creatures. Two dullahan circled them their steeds snorting flame as they raised their murderous blades. Kylla spun her scythe releasing a circle of searing red mana into the advancing hordes.

Bits of bone and desiccated flesh covered the ground sizzling beneath their feet. Kylla strided forward at one of the armored riders striking up at him. The armored knight chopped down with it’s massive blade Kylla back flipped avoiding the blade spinning backwards. She lashed out catching the horse across the skull it’s head snapping to the side. Buckling the steed pitched it’s rider forward into the side of a building. The armored behemoth bounced off rolling to it’s feet rising and readying it’s weapon. It pointed the tip of it’s weapon at her. The feeling is mutual! Kylla said sweeping it’s legs with her weapon in a surge of crimson. The dullahan flipped into the air and she sliced moving through it. A vermilion flash followed as the titan was halved diagonally. Oye Jefa! shouted one of the mini skulls with the sombrero. Not over yet, let’s head for the main square. she said sprinting forward.

Captain Collins sat quietly in the bay of the chopper as it descended to the drop zone. She barely felt Cutty’s hand on her shoulder as she looked her straight in the eyes talking to her. She saw her lips moving but heard nothing. Ready to drop sir, sir? Lt. Cutty repeated waving a hand. Wha…oh uh carry on. Capt. Collins said jolting back to reality. You alright sir? "Fine.
