Alas, the sorcerer was cowardly and selfish. He believed that his daughters would be a threat to him!

Corina was the eldest, and when she turned sixteen, her father took her to a high mountain.

“If you stay in my house, I am sure you will try to steal the secrets of my magic!” the sorcerer said. “That is why I am going to turn you into an eagle. You can live a happy life in the sky, but you will never be a danger to me!”
