About this ebook

This poem collection is made with pain and love during the corona virus pandemic. I was at a stage of my life where I thought it was over for me. Not so long ago I was accused of many things and I thought it was the end of the road for me. 2019 I was doing my 1st year at the University of Western Cape, 2020 I took a gap year because I was depressed. The were times where I wanted to take my own life and commit suicide. But I came out of it a better person, if I can do it then you can also do it. This book contains poems mostly freestyle and 2 short stories. If you're going through anxiety, depression, or you are an introvert then this book is for you.

    Introduction: As I Reminisce

This poem collection was made with pain and love during the corona virus pandemic. Where people lost their loved ones, others lost their jobs. I was with my family locked in, bored and I took a chance and wrote these poems. Bear in mind that each and every one was shaking about everything that had occurred that year. Not to mention the fact of the risks that it made us to take.

Being in isolation with yourself, it was like life was just on hold. I actually don’t know how many people managed to survive but I would truly say it was God’s grace. No one new that it would come down to this.

If you are reading this congratulations, it means that you are alive and you are still kicking it. To the fallen ones I truly send my condolences. What is the point of looking alive while you are dead inside? Nothing made sense about everything that had occurred during these past years. But if you feel like you have answers, well you can keep them to yourself because some of us have had enough.

This poem collection is made for you so that you can relate and to help you feel better when you are sad. I hope it can cheer you up. Take one step each and every time you are in a middle of something. Just take a moment to breathe in and breathe out.

This is real life; this is your life. Do whatever you want to do with it but make sure you are not hurting other people. No one said it would be easy. We are all walking to that mountain. A state of mind where you control what you can control and let go of what you cannot. It is that simple.
