Romancing the Word - John Pirillo
I would like to dedicate this book to every man and woman who’s dreamed of carving dreams and worlds of imagination on stone, papyrus, paper, and computer screens since they were a child or adult child.
Dreams can come true; write them down!
And join me in the land of dreams, hidden inside every one of us.
Where dreams originate is a Deep Silence. And it is Infinite and rich with ideas to fulfill our dreams.
You will never regret it!
Romance the word and you will never feel empty. Never go without the love you truly desire:
From yourself!

No, I am not Mary Poppins. That is just a friend of mine. And yours as well if you want.
No one really needs a Mary Poppins to umbrella them off to a new life to make their life happy. Or to whisk them off to be a success and live a happy life of wealth and fame, or even just recognition and appreciation.
We do not need to hide behind an umbrella either. While umbrellas can be quite fashionable with all their unusual colors and designs, sizes, and shapes, they merely hide us temporarily from seeing the beautiful creation we each and all are.
While it may be fashionable to use a prop to give us something to deflect attention from ourselves, it is merely putting off the day when we stand forth in the full light of day and reveal the dazzling creation we are and have been becoming.
Hiding ourselves is only putting off the success we truly and deeply desire.
Mind you now, the title of my book in no way refers to writing porn or sexual literature. That is, unless you mean letting all your words hang out, exposing everything you are and want to expose...top to bottom for all the world to see. And, of course, to pay you for
doing so.
And there is the magic part of it.
Letting the real you blossom, while earning money as you learn to do it. Why not accept the possibility of learning more every day, but at the same time, carving a niche for yourself in the world of writing, and being paid to do it as you create your magical, mysterious worlds of wonder and delight.
So, first off, this book is not about word porn, or exotic imagery found in a fantasy sultan’s harem. Not even about a chimney sweep dancing on the rooftops of London to sweep us off into a land of awe and adventures with Mary Poppins.
This book, Romancing the Word, is about exposing our innermost self, our thoughts we usually keep to ourselves, hide from the world, but cuddle lovingly during our quiet moments. Trouble is, we keep these treasures of our imagination, which have risen from the delightful and rich, Deep Silence, within us, tightly tucked away. Hidden behind our force field shield of fear and self-doubt. Believing we are safe that way. Protected from our own self-doubt and fears, as well as the sometimes-uncomfortable discord created by others in our lives. Waiting for the right moment to unwrap out buffet of tasty surprises that delight the heart and soul.
But, unfortunately, or fortunately, depending on whether you have mastered this fear and discomfort, it does us not one bit of good to pretend our work is safe when we hide it from attention. Hoping that if we are careful, and no one sees what we can create, or have created. Believing if we hide what we love, what is most dear to us, that our work will just get better and better.
Lo and Behold! The genie of authors will come forth from the lamp of our writing muse. Burst forth in light and dazzling magical smoke. Offering us the surprise of mystical wonder we have concocted in our heart of hearts and written down to share with others. Tell us, and serve our delightful thoughts to readers, who will suddenly throw their hands up in wonder and delight and reward us with gifts and blessings.
Sounds cool enough. So, until that wondrous moment when we surprise readers, and ourselves, we concoct a fantasy that no one is looking and can make fun of us, or make us feel bad because of our secret love, which is burning to explode to life.
Well, let us get over that nonsense!
Not tomorrow.
Now!
Fantasy is all well and good on paper, TV, and the movies, but otherwise, when we hold back from what we love, it becomes a bruise on our soul. A bite on our neck by our writer’s block vampire, hungrily and continuously sucking the heart and soul out of our writing!
And our life!
This book is not about avoiding the world or the words our heart desire to express. It is about embracing the word and sharing it with all we can. Finding the joy of expressing our love of words...but in ways our hearts paint with strokes of fantasy and experience. Not the way others see and describe or experience it. But as only we can!
It is about how we, all of us, the exposed part and the hidden, rise to hug the world and dance on the stage of life with complete abandonment.
Joy and peace of mind.
Romance is not about broadcasting our feelings to the world...though that could be part of it too. After all Romeo and Juliet still rings a bell even after the hundreds of years that have passed since William Shakespeare brought romance to life on the stage in a way that has profoundly altered the way we see love.
Romance is about finding the depths of your
passions in life, your innermost and most personal feelings, then sculpting them into something more lasting and permanent.
Something wonderful!
What can be more permanent than putting your hopes and dreams in a carriage of words that travels roads of the world with grace and light, enhancing the hopes and dreams of others, filling imagination and hearts of the young and the old alike with a sense of magic, mystery, and adventure?
You can be the Mary Poppins of someone’s life. The Hercules that gives courage and strength to the downtrodden. The Saint who offers hope and redemption to those who look for more than what the world offers in the brief, limited time we have to express the poetry of our existence.
How, you ask?
By Romancing the Word!
But to embark on that miraculous journey of love and romance, you must be the Redeemer of your own self. Of your own special and sacred abilities that we were born with, granted by a combination of genes, history, and
