Depending prayer and faith and believing that there a Father in Heaven that does incredible things. From childhood the walk of a young man desiring to be free to express the gift of love through poetry good old fashioned American morals and values. A voice crying out in the wilderness; turn to YAHWEH GOD and repent, suffer the little children and watch them grow; the beauty in the sun the love of family no matter situations that life throws at you “ show them better than you can tell them “. The misuse and treatment of our fellow man that human being that we see out in the street talking to themselves cause no one cared to hear “ you are loved “. Black on black crimes shootings and killings; “ we are killing our babies “ “ we are killing our hopes, dreams, maybes “. “ I am Black “. Depression is something we all experience and life takes us in that direction. If you allow it to envelope you it will swallow you whole and consume you into a pit of darkness; leading you further from the light and the truth that everyday doesn’t rain and storm. There are butterfly moments that hummingbird eye to eye that quiet voice that says “ yes you can “ “;you are more than you can see “. Doors opportunities that come along in the pathway of life that depending on our choices on which doors to open and walk through not every opportunity is golden, not every opportunity comes up short. Doors are the entrance into rooms that have room for you to grow and expand to be enlightened, everything you need is in your room behind your door; at God’s time the door opens for you to walk into your blessings. My friend Stephanie said to me… You have to break down the walls Timothy… It was the summer of nineteen ninety -seven… I had thoughts of not getting into Heaven… She said you had to let people in… I said to her that’s where my trouble begins… When I let he or she come in… It seems the hurt starts all over again… She told me I need at least one friend… Not everyone is a pretend friend… I am older now I still like my wall..: My security blanket to soften my fall… It has a gate that I open to a few… Not just for those that share my pew… I open my hearts door to you and you… Only to myself do I remain true… Yes my friend walls do fall down… Like Jericho they fall to the ground… Walls of prejudice,anger, and hate… Walls of malignity, chaos, and rape… Walls of arrogance; walls of pride… Walls of lies, the government tries to hide… These walls we build to keep people out… They all fall down with a unity shout… Yes my friend walls do fall down… Like Jericho they fall to the ground… Timothy Darnell…

Do you remember sitting around the table… Thanking God for He is able… To provide shelter and food to eat… A warm bed a place to sleep…A family to enjoy to love and hold… When men were men and knights were bold…Pies and cakes; turkey and dressing… We went to church and thanked Him for all His blessings… Then come home to watch football on T. V. … Afterwards go from house to house maybe just me… We would play football in the street… Right there in the Wells on Jupiter street… When everyone was your neighbor; come on in… When it was alright to bring a friend… Seasons change and the people too… Somethings become old some are brand new… As the fall walks in; in splendid array… The colorful trees bend and sway… Hot chocolate marshmallows you sip from your cup… Sweets and dainties that fill you up… Take you back to your younger days… I wish this world change its ways… I have a love of my own I want family to… Cold hearted folk are everywhere this is true… Whether a lot or a little He’s making me great… I am happy so glad I took time to wait… Timothy Darnell…

No I wish I would have did this did that… No coming up with tricks like Felix the cat… No new meditation to take to grow on… No great leaders to depend and lean on… No regrets I should have done it… No hanging with the in crowd I’m a misfit… Forgive me for this; forgive me for that… We all make mistakes and that’s a fact… I like the old school and a little new school… Not everyone is equipped to use your tool… I know that it is the start of another year… Time to get our life on track, find the right gear… How about take it step-by-step at first… Think before you run before you start that burst… No hesitation I am walking through the door… No longer quiet just hear me roar… Clearly outspoken I am down right Frank… I run over obstacles like a battle tank… What I’ve learned is that it’s okay to say No… Do it with all your might just go… No I wish I would have did this did that… No
