WINNING LETTER

THIS past holiday was a time for catching up on my favourite reads. I wasn’t able to read for fun that much last year – it was mostly academic papers on my list so it felt like a real indulgence to catch up on the many books that have been waiting for me.

I’ve always loved reading. I devoured any book I came across and read pretty much every title in the library when I was a kid.

When I graduated to the adult section, I was delighted I could take out even more books and often put my name down for the “coming soon” ones showcased on a little table in the corner of the quiet room.

Because we had so few options in that library, I read practically every genre available. It made my reading preferences quite eclectic and to this day I’m not bound to a specific favourite.
