Dr. Akshita Singh holds her Ph.D. in Human Development from Banasthali Vidyapith, Jaipur, Rajasthan. During the tenure she qualified UGC-NET (National Eligibility Test) and was the beneficiary of JRF (Junior Research Fellowship). She has also qualified U-SET (Uttrakhand State Eligibility Test). She earned her training experience at 'The Spastics Centre' ( Bal Bhawan) Phool Bagh, Kanpur,U.P. for working with the children with special needs along with block field work training at National Institute of Public Cooperation and Child Development (NIPCCD) Regional Centre, Lucknow. Dr. Akshita  Singh has presented ample of research papers in National and International conferences and seminars along with attending numerous workshops. Her doctoral research work was on Mental Health which has been published in SCOPUS and UGC approved National and International Journals. Her field of interest is child psychology, children with special needs and mental health. It was her keen conscientiousness in children which drive her to have a go at activity book writing for adolescents. Presently she is working as Director in one of the schools of Rawat Educational Group, Jaipur, Rajasthan.

    In the past few decades, the concept of mental health has attained much attention at a global platform. Mental health refers to one’s mental and emotional wellbeing - it is all about how a person thinks, feel and behave. Mental health can affect a person’s daily life, relationships and physical health.

    Good mental health is more than just the absence of a mental disorder. A person who is mentally healthy has a state of wellbeing in which he/ she realizes his or her capacities, is able to cope with normal stresses of life, can work regularly and productively and is able to contribute to the community and society in which he/ she lives.  It also contributes to the person’s ability to enjoy life- to attain a balance between life activities and efforts to achieve psychological resilience.

    It has been observed that most of the risk-taking behaviours emerged during the adolescence period. Adolescence phase is frequently stated as a stressful period and adolescent is regarded as the tumultuous teen. These are the formative years in one’s life when a person undergoes a maximum
