Introduction
When you have revelation from heaven concerning an evil entity, it seems it and its cohorts will attack you more because of the revelation you have concerning them. Many years ago, God first began teaching me about specific evil entities when He began showing me the existence and functions of the Jezebel spirit.
Since then, I have been placed among many Jezebels in many places (churches, workplaces, etc.) and experienced intense attacks from Jezebel. I’m happy to report that the Lord has helped me (and will help) in every battle against this spirit and taught me many things on how to battle this spirit.
One of the reasons I obtained victory is because of the obedience of the body of Christ in talking, teaching, and informing its members about this spirit. The body of Christ is aware of and currently battling this spirit well. We’ve written books on Jezebel, recorded teaching media on it, and otherwise iterated what Scripture says about it. We are equipping our members against this spirit.
But we’ve paid too little attention to the object of Jezebel’s worship: Baal.
Jezebel isn’t the only spirit I’ve encountered in a dramatic way. Battle with another spirit has been a major focus in my life. When God showed me the evil entity Baal was behind a generational curse functioning in my family, I began identifying it under the Holy Spirit’s guidance and direction. One day as I was driving in my car and praying against this spirit, I heard the Holy Spirit say to me clearly:
This is America’s biggest problem.
This book is my obedience to God’s instruction for me to write about Baal. It is intended to help the body of Christ to identify specifically the covenant-breaking function of Baal and recognize its plans and purposes operating in our nation, and also to help the believer who wants to find out if it is operating in their family.
Blessed be the Lord my strength, which teacheth my hands to war and my fingers to fight
(Psalm 144:1).
Chapter 1: Generational Curse of Baal
If you need more information concerning the reality and functions of generational curses, please refer to the Works Cited/Resource Index. I have not included any detail on generational curses for the sake of brevity.
The revelation of the existence of an evil entity purporting a generational curse in my family came as a result of seeking God to give me an explanation about actions I saw in family members’ lives. Family members who confess Jesus as their Lord: born again, righteous by the blood of Jesus and anointed, gifted and called of God—yet they were taking extensive actions that denied and rebelled against God.
That may sound as if I am making a judgmental statement, but please be clear that I am not judging any person. I am making a judgment on the actions and, as you’ll see, the evil entities behind those actions.
An example would be instead of edifying each other, they would criticize, insult, and blame. This is a function of Jezebel, but there was more to it than that; the actions went above and beyond.
I have a family member who, without biblical grounds, not only divorced their committed Christian spouse but, to add to the hurt and pain, moved with the new spouse to the house next door to the former spouse and children.
This is a goring, raging hurt. It is above and beyond the normal. Ignoring the needs of the children thereafter, when they are so close, was another way the actions went further in the above and beyond
to be cruel.
Cruelty is a cohort of Baal, as are Jezebel and Ahab. Ahab is a do-nothing waster; Ahab will waste years, opportunities, and gifts. Ahab is the pain behind the would-haves, should-haves, and could-haves. All three share the cohort of, or function in, ruined reputation. Ruined reputations may take years from which to recover.
This family suffered Christian judgment and ruined reputation for years, and to this day, some still suffer from this evil.
It is common in the Ukrainian churches for the congregants to take part in the church service by preaching/teaching a short message or reading a godly, beautiful poem. The family I’ve written of above still suffers rejection and ruined reputation and are not asked to do or are rejected from doing such things.
Another example would be telling someone they were born at the wrong time.
These actions were repeated, and in my opinion, they are beyond the normal oops, I made a mistake
sins.
In these types of things, I saw cruelty, heartlessness, and a complete and blatant disregard for the fear of God or consideration of God’s Word or ways.
The Lord said that death and life are in the power of the tongue. Do you know that words like these, if not recanted, can bring curses (destruction, i.e., robbing, killing, and destroying from the enemy)? Not just to the life of the one you are speaking about but to you also because our words are like arrows.
We should not speak both blessings and curses over anyone, especially our loved ones and our brothers and sisters in Christ (James 3:2–13). When we send the arrows out against another, we are also releasing arrows against ourselves.
I needed to know what would cause such behavior and blatant disregard for God in a born-again Christian. I did the only thing I knew to do: ask God. I knelt beside my bed and asked God, What is that?
I heard Him speak to me as clear as a bright, sunny day. He said, It is Baal.
I immediately thought of the books I owned or had seen on the topic of the Jezebel spirit. I have listed all of the books and recorded teachings that I own that cover Jezebel in this book’s index, whether or not the material has been used in this book.
I think these are good resources that will help you contend with Jezebel and Ahab wherever you find these spirits operating. I do not own and have not listed all the material that is available on Jezebel and Ahab, but I know the reader can find these items easily with minimal research on the Internet.
When the Lord spoke this to me, the thought came to me that I could not recall seeing any books on Baal. I wanted to get more information on Baal. I thought, I’ve seen the word Baal
in the Bible many times. In fact, that word is in the Bible a lot—I can study this word.
I told God I would study Baal and asked Him to help me. Thus, began my study on the god-demon going by the name of Baal.
Chapter 2: Covenant
Covenant Is Key to Baal-Berith
Baal-Berith’s main function is breaking covenants. A good practice to do over your family and church is loose the love of covenant. Covenant is important to understanding Baal-Berith.
What Is a Covenant?
Webster defines a covenant as a written agreement or promise usually under seal between two or more parties, especially for the performance of some action
(G. & C. Merriam Company 1979).
God Loves Covenant!
"Incline your ear, and come unto Me; hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David" (Isaiah 55:3).
"Now the God of peace, that brought from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great
