About this ebook

People everywhere want to be loved, even the hardest, meanest, dirtiest destitute wants to be loved…deep down. But do they know how to find it or how to show it? Well, God wants to show all His creation that He loves them and He understands their dilemma. If people would be willing to do it God’s way, show love His way as taught by Jesus, then true love can once more abound and health can be realized fully, as it was meant. Love will no longer be just a word with little meaning, but it will be realized as a person (or a representation of a person) driven by the Holy Spirit.

Why I use many versions of the Bible?

I do this because there is not one version that has every verse right; none of the modern versions have been translated directly from the original Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek.  If I only used the King James you would get only a King James approach to God’s Word; likewise, if I only used the NIV you would get an NIV approach.  I wanted to share the clearest approach that I can so I must use many versions.  As an ancient saying that many people claim as their own goes, There is more than one way to go up a mountain.  I use many Bibles but you must let the Holy Spirit guide you.  And I suggest that you get many versions also.  In one version a verse may be quoted one way and in another the same verse is quoted a totally different way.

    Chapter  1

You Who Say You Love Jesus

There’s a song on the radio that really caught my attention; it says, We gonna know who really loves Jesus after a while.  Now, many of you do love what you know about Jesus; that’s true.  And you do all the things that you were told by the preacher that you are to do.  But Jesus told this story, and I want you to read it slowly and out loud,

"Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?'  Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'" (Matthew 7:22-23 New International Version).

You will notice that I highlighted the word ‘knew,’ and that is because that word means more than just, Are you acting like a Christian with authority? and more than just, Are you giving the glory to God?  The word ‘knew’ as used here means to be loved by and to have intimate fellowship with.

Let me introduce another word that some people have taken the wrong idea about.  The word is ‘worship,’ He knows you because you worship Him.  This word doesn’t simply mean to lift your hands and praise Him for who He is, that’s part of it, and it’s not something that is done just once or twice per week in church or a group setting, no.  Worship is something to be done as a life style.  It’s like when you got married and you are deeply in love with your spouse.  Let’s say you’re a woman who loves her husband.  If another very handsome man walked up to you and tried to seduce you.  Most of you would say, I’m married, I can just picture one lady decking that bozo.   Or what if you were not married but you were in love with him.  Then you would probably say, I’ll have to check with my boyfriend, or, I don’t think my boyfriend would like that very much.  If you were married maybe you would go home and talk to your husband about it, you might even do the same even if you weren’t married yet.  This goes for the men also.  Well, the talking to him is intimate fellowship.

Jesus wants us to come to him when we have a problem, not simply talk to a counselor.  I know, I’m a counselor and it seems like I am saying don’t come to me with your problems.  But that’s not what I’m saying; when someone comes to me it’s my job to direct them to the Lord, I’ll go to the Lord with you if need be.

But let’s get back to that married couple, the married woman and husband.  They are constantly thinking of each other, not just once in a while.  They don’t have to be in the same house, or even country, to think of each other.

Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. (Matthew 10:32 King James Version).

Instead of the word ‘confess’ let’s, for this section, use the words ‘think of.’  Now read that again with the change, Whosoever therefore shall think of me before men, him will I think of also before my Father which is in heaven.

Have you ever seen the movie, Apollo 13?  It was about the Apollo 13 voyage to the moon.  When they went up the wives and the families of the astronauts. . . well, their eyes were fixed on the TV news bulletins about the mission.

Worship is an all-consuming trait also; whatever you are doing can be used to worship God.  You might be a janitor, a plumber, a schoolteacher, a writer, a lawyer, a doctor, whatever you call yourself (by whatever occupation you do), think of it as you are doing it for Jesus.

Every Christian likes to think they are worshippers because they praise God at church.  But that’s not it, that’s praise.  Praise is gratification, thankfulness, and a proclamation.  And praise is done outwardly and with show, meaning others can see (not that you are doing it for otherS to see).  Worship is an inward issue between you and the object of your worship; there may, possibly, be outward expressions of your worship but it must be in your heart first and constantly.

    "They worship me in
