Chapter 1

Crusade

One definition for the word crusade suggests advancing a cause.  Many times crusades are associated with Christian movements and other times they are simply wars. But more to the point, where this book is concerned, a crusade is talking about taking spiritual ground from satan (taking people away from the hold that satan has on them by of sin).  When a person holds a crusade meeting, such as the Billy Graham crusades, the thrust of the message given—its intent—is to shine the light of Jesus on the darkness which is inside the unbeliever and expose their sin to them, to bring them to the place where they want to repent and turn to Jesus.  So, at the end of that crusade meeting the people whom the message was intended for can say, Devil, you loose.  I belong to God now.

Then Jesus turned to the Jews who had claimed to believe in him. ‘If you stick with this, living out what I tell you, you are my disciples for sure. Then you will experience for yourselves the truth, and the truth will free you,’ (John 8:31-32 The Message).

Before I surrendered my life to Jesus and made Him my Lord I had a recurring dream, a nightmare for sure.  I was falling.  That’s it, just falling, never ending falling, it was horrifying and I woke up in a cold sweat.  But when I turned my life over to Jesus and made Him my Lord I didn’t have that nightmare anymore, praise God for that.

Now, with a title like From Crusade to Revival to Rapture, many people associating those words with Christianity, many unbelievers might hesitate read it.  But actually those words are not from a Christian vocabulary at all.  As I said, the word crusade suggests advancing a cause.  Revival simply means refreshing a life, in hospitals the word is common.  And in English, the word rapture is a synonym or joy, I use it for the greatest joy there is.  But for some stupid reason many unbelievers still associate those three words as Christian words, especially when used together.

But for those who are reading this book, just know that over two thousand years ago a God-man named Jesus went to be crucified for you.  He went there to pay the price for your sinful living, that price was and is death.  But then a major miracle happened; God had raised Jesus from death and He still lives today, that is a major miracle.  Now by your repenting of sin you are saying that you turn from that old way of life and no longer want to have anything to do
