About this ebook

As an author I have discovered that more than one million books are published in the United States each year. Before I became an author, I begin to build my personal library since knowledge intrigued me. To my disappointment much of what I accumulated was mainly filler and stuffing with a fancy cover. In most cases only 1/3 was practical. As a student of biblical history and prophetic insight I desired reading material that would challenge me to explore the revelations within the Word of God.

The years have taught me to be more selective and investigative before purchasing books as I continue to expand my library. The first book that I published (Somewhere in Montana, West Bow Press) I personally planned to write in a manner that would add insight to the reader that they could utilize in a beneficial manner.

The Secret To Your Success was conceived during the height of the Coronavirus pandemic right from the heart of God. Many are asking questions about their future and how did this all come about; through the Holy Spirit we answer those questions. This book is a revelation of where we are today and what awaits us. If you desire to know the truth and pull back the spiritual curtain, then this is a must read for you. The Bible speaks of times and seasons that the men of Issachar were able to decern; you too will witness prophetic revelation concerning these times.

    INTRODUCTION

W here to begin? To my amazement concerning my beginnings I am truly blessed, and I realize it. There is not a day that goes by I do not give praise and honor to the Lord. I thank Him for the salvation in my life, for my wife, my children, grandchildren, including great grandchildren.

As a child, I grew up in Washington state traveling to California then Oregon not, to vacation but as a migrant worker with my parents which is a surprise to some. The Blackfeet Indian reservation was a place of dire poverty with few opportunities for employment. So, Washington became the land of milk and honey for many Blackfeet looking for a brighter future.

When I first saw the movie La Bamba there is a scene of the migrant tents in the orchard and the people preparing for the workday. I thought, I lived that life! We picked the fruit which included cherries, pears, apples, pulled the potatoes from the ground, carried the green beans in 50-pound sacks, pruned the trees in late winter, thinned the apples in the springtime and the hops. All this was done from sun-up to sunset, but it was a living. Often, I would daydream of a better life, what I wanted and how I would obtain it.

Today I have completed my third book which you are about to read and hopefully share with others. I have written songs and recorded a number of CD’s. I never completed high school dropping out in my senior year to serve in the U.S. Army. However, something amazing happened in my life and in my thinking after surrendering my life to Jesus. I went on to obtain my GED, graduated from Blackfeet Community College with honors, then attended the University of Montana to complete my education. I became an ordained minister, author, and pastor. Rather good for a drop-out, right?

This book is not about theological insight, denominational protocol or doctrine debate rather how to succeed and live an overcomer’s life through the Word of God in real life situations. It was written for the world we live in today with insight of years of studying the Bible. You will grow spiritually and be encouraged by each chapter. Enjoy and be blessed.

    CHAPTER ONE

    The Year of Chaos

I f I were to ask you what happened during 2020 most likely a look of confusion and dismay or even anger would appear on your face. For most it was a time of extreme stress, panic and loss. Throughout the world we were forced into isolation and separation from all that was normal in our life.

No more school, church, travel, work and interacting with others. Fear covered the land as if an invisible enemy had come invading from a distance planet. Streets, highways, shopping centers were void of the once heavy traffic and the Facebook fake prophets clamored to post their predictions of fear and gloom quicker than an order from your local McDonalds.

Like the veterans of combat wars, we all have a tale to tell of what we endured and how we came through. Several factors came into play which forever changed our life, as we crossed the point of no return experiencing disinfectant wipes, Lysol spray and toilet paper shortages. At the same time there was a stirring in the hearts of men to hear from God.

From a personal perspective, I struggled with one of the most challenging spiritual battles I have known which would haunt me week after week. September of 2020, I witnessed the loss of my 81-year-old mother. Because of COVID-19 there were tight visitation restrictions by the hospital staff that limited the number of individuals who could be in her room. This was probably one of the hardest situations to cope with as a family. Traditionally the entire family would have crowded into her room just to be at her side. Mid November 2020 I was rushed to the local Browning Indian Health Service hospital and within minutes flown by medical aircraft from Cut Bank to Kalispell, Montana regional hospital because I was having a heart attack.

It was as if one tragedy after another was being thrust upon me. Again, while I was in the hospital, I was limited to who could visit me, which was only two people. I was thanking God for the healing and strength He had given me but wondered how others were holding up during this time of national testing. I recall as the medical staff opened the doors to the emergency room one asked the another, Is this the other Old Chief from Browning?

Later in recovery my mind stirred as I asked myself, Who was the other Old Chief that was brought in before me? In a few days I was told my first cousin John had passed away in Kalispell because
