Introduction

Ephesians. What a powerful letter of encouragement. What wise instruction to the Christian believer. And, what incredible insight into understanding the gospel.

Paul wrote this letter to the church in Ephesus, in order to help them understand more about what Jesus had done for them. And, in the light of this, to understand how they should live.

Paul prayed that the Ephesian Church would know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that they might be filled with all the fullness of God.

Oh, that we might be filled with all the fullness of God!

Oh, that we might daily comprehend more of the love of Christ!

What a change that would make to our lives. Each thought would be gratitude for our salvation. Each action would be weighed in the light of what was done for us.

This is why we pray. This is why we seek God. That we might understand more fully what He has done for us so that His name might be glorified in our lives.

It is why we were created.

And it is why this book was written.

There is no greater adventure in life than hearing Him speak to you through His word, and being changed by it for His glory.
