My Account Executive, Shelbi Chandlee was a joy to work with and answered all questions that I had. The Project Manager Allison Dyer, and the editor, Casey Macpherson assigned to my book to make it polished and ready for print are truly a blessing!
I want to thank my best friends for supporting me in alphabetical order, Tina Bailey, a newer friend of a few years but we click! Ellen Down, a friend from when I first moved to Oregon and finally my friend from high school Debbie Dunn Kirklin. Thanks so much for your support over the years!
Introduction
Imagine an answer to every problem in life. That is what this revelation knowledge was to me! Then to find that every victory contained in the stories of the Bible followed the same pattern!
This is the culmination of a journey I went through for a short time in my young family. It has brought us through almost four decades of many trying times and always in victory. Which will be in a later book. This book will help women everywhere know that they can look to God, our Lord Jesus, and the Holy Spirit for help in every circumstance.

chapter 1
The LORD Your Husband
Jehovah Ishi
(Pronounced Is-shay)
The LORD your Maker is your Husband.
Isaiah 54:5a (NIV) Nelson, 1987.
I knew this scripture for a long time before I realized God wanted to be my spiritual husband today, now, in this life. Several years ago, when God told me I had not made Him my husband, I set my mind and heart to find my True Husband. The Bible says seek and you shall find, ask and you shall receive, knock and the door will be opened for you. I did and it was!
I was a super-mom, a working wife, and a mother who wanted to be able to stay home and to take care of my children. For five years I had supported the family with my husband helping.
My husband was a wonderful Christian but not a good provider. After various jobs and lay-offs, He had resigned to work in a fast-food enterprise. Since I made double what he did we considered perhaps we should make him a Househusband and have me keep my career.
The only problem was that I desired to be home instead. My desire for a career ended after our first daughter, Allison, was born. I realize this is the opposite of our today’s society and I do not judge anyone who desires a career. But for me, I longed to see our daughter while at work. I always wondered what she was doing at the babysitters and prayed that God would show me a way out of the predicament.
God did show me a way out in a most unexpected way. One day while driving to work, I asked God why I had missed His best. I believe that God’s way is perfect, so I knew that there was something I had not previously done. He spoke these words into my spirit, very quietly, the next day as I woke up that changed my life forever; You didn’t make Me, your Husband.
Learning to listen to God had not been a big strength for me. I tended to act on His written Word and to confess it. Spiritual warfare was just beginning to have some awesome effects in my life, but to hear from God personally was still a little new to me. I had been taught that those things were not done anymore, and I was in fear of following the wrong voice. If His Word does not say it, it was not His voice. Baby Christians sometimes struggle with this because they are not certain what His Word says.
God’s Word says to follow the voice of the Good Shepherd, Jesus, and not to listen to the voice of a stranger. What exactly is the voice of a stranger? Anything that does not completely line up with His written Word by two to three witnesses. Since I knew this, it was normal for me to search out what He said to me. I cross referenced the Bible with Strong’s Concordance, looking up every scripture that had husband
in it, skipping over those referring to your mate and went directly to the ones referring to God, my spiritual Husband, the one who takes care of me really. I found that the Bible has a lot to say concerning this subject. I had never heard it before until God spoke it to my spirit, and into my heart came God’s revelation knowledge.
And it shall be in that day, says the Lord, that you will call Me Ishi [my Husband], and you shall no more call Me Baali [my Baal]...And I will betroth you to Me forever; yes, I will betroth you to Me in righteousness and justice, in steadfast love, and in mercy. I will even betroth you to Me in stability and in faithfulness, and you shall know (recognize, be acquainted with, appreciate, give heed to, and cherish) the Lord...And I will sow her for Myself anew in the land, and I will have love, pity, and mercy; and I will say to those who were not My people, You are My people, and they shall say, You are my God!
Hosea 2:16,19,20,23; (AMP)
The new revelation was in verse 16, first from God to Hosea, and now to me. In Hosea, God has the prophet take a wife that was a prostitute. He has a child by her, then two more that are not
