    LOLA SKY: The Series

    (Season 2)

    Khàli LaBré

    Episode 1

YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING me! said Lola. She was taking her time to go through all of the information on the infamous, stolen file.

Garvey was sitting next to her as she went through the documents.

What do you see? he asked.

Yo, tell me why these files spell out...in detail...exactly what’s needed to cure all of these diseases! she said, Look at this shit!

Garvey moved closer so that he could see what all the fuss was about.

They were in the laboratory inside of the massive mansion opening the file that they stole from the CDC. Something that was criminally necessary.

They were dressed in their white lab coats and safety goggles.

As Lola scrolled through the document, they were able to read the lists of medicinal compounds, bacterial and antibacterial matter, tinctures, elixirs, and instructions on how to make and administer them.

    This is insane! said Garvey.

Twelve the cat was asleep under the table but woke up when Garvey spoke.

This surprises me, but it doesn’t at the very same time, Lola said, You get more money by just treating illnesses instead of curing them. If everyone was cured by the system, the money wouldn’t roll in for the big boys.

You’ve gotta point there, Q, said Garvey.

He still referred to Lola as Q although they had to change their names. He promised Lola he’d only call her that when it was just them together.

I can’t believe they made it that easy to find out how to make all this medicine, said Lola.

So what are you gonna do with it? asked Garvey.

Good question, Lola replied, hmmmm... she thought long and hard.

After a few seconds passed, she finally spoke.

    I GOT IT!

Alright, well let’s hear it, said Garvey, looking at her sideways.

Let’s take five of the top most common diseases and do our experiments to see if the medicines work, she replied, but which five?

My guess is just as good as yours, princess, Garvey responded.

Can you make some use of yourself for once? Lola said jokingly.

You’re the Master Researcher! he said and laughed, I’m just tryin’ not to be all up in yo way.

"When I don’t need you all up in my way is when you’re all up in my way... said Lola sarcastically, ...but when I need you all up in my way, you ain’t nowhere to be found!"

Well, maybe it’s because... Garvey started, ...mmm never mind.

Because of what, Gar? she asked.

I see you’re getting the hang of this new identity thing, Garvey said, attempting to change the subject.

    We have to, Lola responded.

    It worked.

Why not start with the HIV cure findings? Garvey said, That’s what started all of this!

Sounds like a plan, Lola responded as she took out her mini-tablet from her bag, tapped on its screen, scrolled to a blank, black page, and began to take notes of what they needed to work on.   That and maybe some of the cancerous cells?" she asked.

"Definitely that! Ooh, and dyebeeduss!!" Garvey asked.

    The auditorium filled with laughter.

Boy, you a mess! Lola said, I haven’t heard that in a long time!

It just came to my mind, Garvey responded.

Meewwww... said Twelve, ...that was a good one!

Awww you thought it was funny, too, huh? Garvey said as he pat Twelve on the back.

You’re so fucking wholesome, Lola said to Garvey.

    Whatchu mean by that?

I dunno, Lola replied, you’re just always so...so happy and cheerful and optimistic.

Well, I mean, why not be?

Lola put her face in her hands, pushing up her goggles and then rubbing her hands down.

You always seem so anxious and uptight, said Garvey, why are you like that?

Lola thought for a moment, Because I have to be the best, she replied.

"Q, the moment you open your eyes in the morning, and
