Clean Cures: The Humble Art of Zen-Curing Yourself
By Michael DeJong and Anthony Vavasis
()
About this ebook
Why use strong chemicals to treat minor ailments when there are safe, natural, and effective remedies that relieve everything from aching muscles to toothaches to zits?
Clean Cures is the new book in the successful Clean series—all written by cleaning expert Michael DeJong, beautifully packaged by visionary designer Joost Elffers, and espousing a green philosophy that offers substitutes for mass-produced products. DeJong bases his cures on just six essential elements, used alone or in combination: baking soda, honey, lemon, olive oil, salt, and apple cider vinegar. And with these simple, inexpensive, readily available ingredients, he concocts therapies for an A to Z of problems: aching joints, bad breath, colic, insect bites, nosebleeds, sinus headaches, warts, and much more. There’s even help for such nagging troubles as sleep disorders and panic attacks!
With solutions that are gentle on the body—and on the earth—this is the perfect little volume for anyone interested in alternative healing.

FOREWORD
As a family doctor, I have always tried to give my patients treatments that will help them to feel better while exposing them to the least harm. Over the years, I have tried to add to my treatment repertoire as many ideas that begin with the words My grandmother always recommended…
as possible. In this spirit, Michael DeJong has done extensive research to identify simple, safe treatments for common medical problems that would make our collective grandmother proud. While this book does not eliminate the need for my profession entirely, I hope that it will give you a few ideas of how to use six simple ingredients to relieve common problems. Leave the serious or chronic medical problems to your medical provider, but for the more minor ones, use Clean Cures to heal thyself.
Anthony Vavasis, M.D.
