Chariss K. Walker
Chariss K Walker, M. Msc. B.R.A.G. Medallion and Readers' Choice award-winning author, Chariss K. Walker, M.Msc., Reiki Master/Teacher writes both fiction and nonfiction books with a metaphysical and spiritual component. Chariss is a storyteller. She doesn’t use a computer program to write her books. Instead, she sits down at her keyboard and listens to her characters as they lead her through their stories. Those are the stories you read in her published books. Her fiction expresses a visionary message that illustrates growth in a character's consciousness while utilizing a paranormal aspect. Her nonfiction books share insight, hope, and inspiration. Even though Chariss also writes dark-fiction books about insanely dark topics, there is always an essential question of the abstract nature that gives a reader increasing awareness and perception. All of her books are sold worldwide in eBook, and paperback, and many are in audiobook. You can learn more about Chariss at her website: www.chariss.com.

Keep the Faith - Chariss K. Walker
Introduction
This eBook is designed to make you think. If you don’t want to think, then you are in the wrong place. Some chapters ask that you consider many questions and reflect deeply on your answers. Other chapters ask that you consider the opinions of others. Some of the quotes in this book are positive and uplifting, but some of the quotes are cynical. Take the ones that mean something to you, and leave the rest behind.
––––––––
I write about the power of trying because I want to be okay with failing. I write about generosity because I battle selfishness. I write about joy because I know sorrow. I write about faith because I almost lost mine and I know what it is to be broken and in need of redemption. I write about gratitude because I am thankful—for all of it.
~~Kristin Armstrong

To get the most from this book, I recommend that you have a pen and notebook to record your personal insights, epiphanies, and research. You will want to look back on your journaling to assess your personal growth.
Most people learn best by reading, writing down what they’ve read, practicing what they have learned by implementing it into their daily lives, and then, explaining the information to others. I suggest that you use these methods also.
Chapter 1: Faith
Many describe faith as loyalty, trust, belief, or devotion to something or someone without having any logical or scientific proof that their faith is true.
This book will examine that definition by looking at the following:
Common examples
Opinions of others
––––––––
By doing so, the reader might evaluate their own personal views without bias. To learn the truth about anything, we must be willing to ask a lot of questions with an open heart and mind.
––––––––
Faith, also described as the acceptance of truth and reality, is considered a religious concept.
––––––––
However, faith applies to everything in life:
Both spiritual and material
Both secular and sacred
––––––––
Still, we often wonder how to describe our own faith; we question our acceptance of that definition.
Maybe we only know the beliefs of our family and leaders.
Maybe we’ve never looked beyond those ideals, dogmas, and doctrines.
Maybe we’re satisfied with what we know and don’t care to look any further.
However, if you’re reading this book, you’re looking for the true meaning of your faith. You desire to know what you truly believe. You desire to understand those things that echo in your soul as truth.
We’ll ask plenty of questions in this book. And, we’ll keep asking them. From this book, we’ll ask enough questions for you to begin the task of forming your own worldview or concept of humanity, the world, and life.
It’s time to do that.
To find what we truly believe, we’ll begin to examine everything with a nonjudgmental mind and an open heart.
We’ll begin by asking the following questions:
Is faith a strongly held system of beliefs?
Is faith merely loyalty to a person or thing?
Is faith devotion to something or someone?
Is faith trust in God, the Universe, or a Higher Power?
Is faith confidence that all is well?
Is faith defined as truth?
Is faith self-reliant?
Is faith certainty?
––––––––
To understand the relationship to any of those questions, we’ll ask more questions:
Do we have a strongly held belief or opinion about someone or
