    Dedication

    Patty B.

I came to know you after life had handed you a couple of severe blows. Each time you picked yourself up and started over. I figured if you could start over then I had no excuses. I wanted you to know you inspired me to do this book.

I wouldn’t have this book done without all the support from my family. You were awesome! You wouldn’t let me give up when I got tired and never complained with make do meals.

Many thanks to Kenneth Copeland Ministries for all the time and effort you put into the broadcasts that taught me the gospel. Without you and the Word, I would still be a mess and not a miracle.

    Introduction

    The Snowflake

I saw a story on one of the weather sites about snowflakes and that they are separate and uniquely different. The two units of oxygen and the one unit of hydrogen align themselves and they reproduce to form the six more units that form the sides of a snowflake. According to the story the snowflakes are alway six sided.

Somehow Lord, you caused the elements to do the dance so they are in the right place. The energy you placed in each cell to reproduce allows them to make this element of wonder for us. As we look closely at them, each one a little different than before.

I think Lord that is your plan for each person too. We have a purpose and your energy deep within us, driving us to the right place at the right time. We are made to fit together with others to do the work you design. We are not made to be one person wonders.

When you were on earth you used the example of a seed planted in the earth would grow up and we don’t know how. We don’t always understand how you formed us to do the things we are meant to do.

You wanted a family and when you made us you gave us the ability to reproduce, not just male and female. You told us to go into the world and help people that we will adopt as family and help them to find their right spot. Just like the snowflake, your design is not complete until we are in the right spot.

Some of us have been wounded so badly and we are bent out of the proper shape. Some of us have sin on us. When we have sin, we are darkened by being in the world. You step in and show both your love and goodness. When we see that, we once again want to be better and start taking the steps to change. Your Word lies silently on the table top and with a nod of you head you point us to Your Book, the Bible.

We pick up the Bible and flip the pages. Isaiah 45 opens and you say: I will go before you and level the mountains [to make the crooked places straight]….I will give you the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places that you may know that it is I, the Lord the God of Israel, Who calls you by your name. (Isaiah 45:2a-3 AMPC).

He continues to talk, I have made you exactly as I intended. I do not make mistakes. By these tough times, I formed you into something beautiful. When you have sin, I become your mirror so you know that you know you need to clean up. When you are wounded, I hold you to show you that you are safe and whisper in your ear that you can be something greater than you ever imagined. That gives you the courage to try again. Then I place you close to other people that know their place, they take you by the hand and show you how to live correctly again. They show you how to laugh and be happy again and then you begin to show others too. Jeremiah 29:11 says that I have a plan and that plan gives you the expected end. That expected end is when I step back and look at my creation and it sparkles and shines and you are part of something as great as any snowflake. Like the snowflake you joined hands with others and became something beautiful. Your bent and broken parts are no longer there. I only see the snowflake.

Then you are like sky divers who at the proper moment are told to Jump out of a plane, you free fall for a moment and the others propel yourselves to the proper spot and hold hands. Then you look like a human snowflake each part perfect and connected to the other in just the right spot. You have become a part of something greater than you ever thought possible.

My hope is that as you will begin to read your Bible you will see the plan God has for your life. From page one to the end, God formed a plan and you are part of it just like being a part of a snowflake. He has made thousands of promises and He never fails to complete each one.

    Chapter 1

    Invisible Friends

When I was little, I always wanted an invisible friend, and now I have one! Sometimes, a kid at school would have an invisible friend and would talk with them and take them for walks. I thought it was cool that they had someone to talk to any time they felt like talking. Since I am a woman who likes to talk, this was an ideal situation and I am sure that my family wished I had one at times.

There were no girls in the neighborhood that were my age. My brother was four years older and would not always appreciate having a little sister around, especially when he and his friends would try and play softball in the alley. I have never been athletic and they would be patient and throw some balls for me but they always tended to hit me in the stomach and I would give up and leave.

Since this is a Christian book, you are likely to guess that my invisible friends are the Lord and his partners. I pray that you too, have invisible friends leading your life.

I would like to introduce you to several of my invisible friends. They are also the main characters in the Gospel story. You may already know three of them. They are called the Trinity. They are three people, with distinctly different jobs, yet they are really one person. It is much like the fact that I am a wife, mother, friend and now a ministry leader. Ot it can be like an egg, where there is a shell, the yolk and egg white. Each part is important in the birth of a bird or chicken; and yet they can be separated into three components.

The Trinity is known as the Father, the son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit or sometimes known as the Holy Ghost. They all do different jobs and have different characteristics when they do those jobs. In fact, the Trinity has so many that we could spend a lifetime studying them and never finish.

I believe the Holy Spirit is sometimes called Holy Ghost because in the days of the Bible, He would move in the earth and people saw the movement and didn’t know how to identify it, so they called him a ghost. Once Jesus came to the earth, He told people to call Him Holy Spirit.

The Father is like the CEO and is the administrator of the His kingdom. He was first recognized by creating what we know as Heaven and the earth. In Genesis, He formed the skies, water and land. He is all-powerful, holy, has no limits or boundaries. He also created the first man and woman, Adam and Eve, and had fellowship with them on a one-to-one basis. They were made perfect and in God’s image until they allowed the evil one to persuade them to sin by desiring to be like God and have the knowledge of good and evil. They had received a sin-consciousness. They now had knowledge of good and evil that they did not have before. God needed a way to pay for the sin and allow him to be close to his family again. They needed a savior. They needed a way to lose their sin-consciousness and become more conscious of God again

The son Jesus, came to earth, He set aside his divinity and stepped into a human body, in the likeness of a man (Philippians 2:5-8). He left his ability to be equal with God and became a servant of men. The New Testament tells the story of Jesus, how he became the Word. He continually said that He only says what the Father says (John 12:49). Jesus never knew sin, healed the sick and performed miracles, and later was crucified to pay the price of our sin. He experienced a horrible death, was buried for three days and nights. During those three
