This book is eloquent and wonderfully conceived; I got chills so many times while escaping into the thoughts of the courageous passages of victories and challenges in it. It completely transformed my mind into understanding what a speaker is. It managed to surpass my high expectations AND make me understand what finding your voice and expressing it with clarity and power means. 

If I sound stunningly articulate at times in this forward, I cannot help it. My mind is completely overwhelmed with the emotion of the openness and the honesty displayed by Barbara H. Smith. This book is like the fresh voice of reason, with its richly developed culture of expression and its splendid ability to inspire, not to mention its thought-provoking power of victory.

The excitement around this book has been unquestionable; it made me both eager to get my hands on it and excited to read it. Barbara H. Smith is a speaker, coach, and trainer to embrace as a force to learn from. This book is truly a must-read for both young and old in a time of actions and encouragement! To my siblings, known to us as the five peppers.  You don’t know how much your morning messages have encouraged and uplifted me, especially with the transitioning of our dad.  To my middle sister, we are closer than ever, and I’m so grateful.  You have helped me more times than I can count.  Thank you for all your love and support.

To my grandbabies. Your lives remind me each day to push harder.  Keep doing the great things you’re destined to do.

IT HAS TAKEN ME A LONG time to finally write a book, and I’m so excited and grateful for the first one of many.  Thank you so much for entrusting me with your time to explore the words I left for you on these pages. 

The intent of this book is to serve others, who are asking the question, What is my purpose? It’s my desire for all who read this to do a self-inventory.  It requires self-reflection, to dig deep within yourselves to discover your passion and purpose.  Our purpose comes from God but belongs to others, and the world is waiting.  Right now, there are people whose destinies are tied to you, tangled up in your finding your purpose.  There are people waiting who are unable to go forward until you come to the full knowledge and depth of why you are here.
