37768.pngTo Doris Griffin, Crystal Bell and Piper Gomez, the Yabba sisterhood, thanks for your unwavering encouragement and support. You are my midwives and I could not have done this without you. I truly treasure each of you.

37942.pngMY PRAYER FOR YOU
Father, I ask that as each person reads this book that the eyes of their understanding be enlightened to know your will concerning them. I pray that you bless them and keep them. I ask for a release of your love, forgiveness and mercy upon each of them. I pray that they will have the desire to use this book as a guide to grow closer in their relationship with you. I pray for them to have the courage to look inside and address everything that hinders their growth and development. I pray they will have success in every area of their life from this day forward, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
Father, I also thank you for the opportunity to share something that would ignite a hunger for a deeper, more passionate relationship with you in others. Thank you for turning my pain into wisdom and strategy to benefit your people. Let this book bring glory and honor to your name. Let it be bread to feed and nourish all who journey through its pages.
INTRODUCTION
MY LIFE READS LIKE A reality show filled with death, betrayal, treachery, and even murder. After each crisis or trauma, someone would tell me, You’re the epitome of strength. How do you endure and keep standing through all you have been through? You are such an example of courage to everyone.
Well, my name is Valerie, which means full of valor, courage; able to overcome extraordinary odds. However, I had not ever seen things the way they did. What did they see? How could I look in the mirror every day and miss it? What was this unperceivable covering that hid my weakness? I wanted to become cognizant of this power in a more purposeful way.
In those times of dark despair, I knew something was happening deep in me. Indeed, an undeniable force had broadened my shoulders, and fortified my resilience to make it through. When my mind wanted to faint, it couldn’t. It empowered my resolve and pushed me forward. Like steel beams anchored in the foundation of my soul, it kept me standing. They saw it, but I was not conscious of it. I was however, compelled to understand it.
As I pondered these things, it became clear this would require more of me than I had anticipated and dare I say desired. It required more time, energy, and reflection; I had to probe deeper than I had gone before to understand the mystery of what propelled and sustained me.
To a degree, this book chronicles that journey. It is a leap of faith over many drawbacks, setbacks, roadblocks, and fears. I now feel the push of God’s wind to release what He has spoken and revealed to me in the past two decades.
I declare, this book to be the first of many more acts of faith to bring glory to His name and feed the people of God. As I began to step forth and organize my notes, the revelations and those things I had recorded over the years, I felt in my heart that this was the fruit of seeds planted years ago. I had to share it more broadly. I had to come out of hiding.
As you read, you may see your own traumatic, challenging experiences and horrible setbacks on these pages. While we may have shared experiences, I did not write Untapped to commiserate with you in the pain or memorialize it. We will not occupy the victim seat! Untapped was written to show you the path to overcome; a way to live again, breathe again, rise again, hope again, love again. You can do it. Untapped will guide you through the process.
My earnest desire is as you continue to read, it will place in you a hunger and desire for more of God. I want you to crave a deeper more substantive relationship with your heavenly Father. Use Untapped as a tool to tap into God in a different way and format. Ask for more. Desire more. He wants to fill you with more of Himself, so take it. Dedicate the time to your growth and development in Him.
He wants to do something unique, special, and sacred just for you! He wants to put His finger
