Chapter 1

‘V ampires aren't real right, well you're wrong. Vampires are very real’. This story begins in the town of Denver, Colorado. Isabelle was an average girl who loved her dolls, teddies, and toys. But one thing that was missing from her life was her parents. Isabelle saw a vampire kill her parents when she was only three years old; She grew up hating the Monsters for doing this. Fourteen years pass as Isabelle trained and became the best Vampire hunter in the town. She killed dozens of blood-sucking Vampires and kept the town safe. She felt a sense of pride, happiness and also success in saving a dozen families' lives but also ordinary people too. Isabelle was still a high school student, so she had to maintain her secret identity and keep a low profile.

As days went by Isabelle was a student by day and a Vampire hunter by night. The Vampires hated her so much that they wanted to eliminate and kill her however Isabelle was too strong; she had the equipment and skills. Isabelle was at home in her room as she checked her gears while she thought, 'The Vampires can try to kill me, but they will never succeed'. Isabelle saw a framed photo of her parents as she thought, 'you both are the reason I am strong together to fight and I promise that I will not rest until I find the killer who took your lives and makes this town a safer place'. On the other side of town lived Darren he was a sweet guy. He was aware of Isabelle's role as a Vampire Hunter however he admired her for her work while Denver's Vampires death went up and Human deaths went down. At school, Darren saw Isabelle as he approached her and says, I heard about your Vampire hunting, and I wanted to tell you that you're doing a great job. Isabelle says, thanks um... he puts his hand forward and says, I'm Darren. As Isabelle shakes his hand Darren then asks, Why do you hate the vampires so much?. Isabelle was surprised and stunned by his question and coldly replied, You don't need to know. just stay out of my business! Isabelle walked away leaving Darren in thoughts, 'I know she is doing a good thing, but she didn't need to be so rude.'

Days went by with Isabelle being cold to Darren; Darren felt sad and heartbroken by how Isabelle is treating him rudely. Meanwhile, the head of the Vampires had a private meeting as they declared war against Isabelle. Isabelle knew she was on the verge of being attacked as Isabelle in her room thought, 'Maybe I should go for a vacation.' That night Isabelle packed her bags and left Colorado for Vancouver not just for a break but to get away from drama too. The Vampires thought, 'Has the girl gone? she has left town and we are free to roam and do what we want.' That same evening Darren went out for a walk to clear his head as he heard footsteps behind him. Darren turned and shouted, WHO'S THERE? SHOW YOURSELF!. The unknown force grabs him behind and cover his mouth.

Chapter 2

Darren struggled to free himself. As he was in thoughts, 'Am I going to die like this? No, I cannot let them win. I am stronger than that.' Darren manages to summon the strength to free himself and runs away without looking back. The next day at school Darren meets Gabriella. There is something about Gabriella as she was strange and mysterious. Darren looked at her and thought,   'she is so pale and always wears sunglasses. Maybe it's the sunlight' or so he thought. However, Darren was still friendly and approached Gabriella who was cold and ignored him. At lunch, Gabriella came over to Darren and began a conversation with him. Gabriella wore all black as she says, Hey I saw you from over there and I wanted to talk to you. Darren was surprised that Gabriella was talking with him as he smiled and said, I've seen you around too. Darren and Gabriella sat and talked with each other all throughout lunch until the bell rang for afternoon classes.

Before leaving Gabriella asked, would you like to come over to my house tonight?. Darren paused and thought for a moment before replying, Sure. Gabriella smiled and left; during the classes for the rest of the day, Darren was only thinking about Gabriella and her beautiful blonde hair, silver eyes, and smile. After school, Darren found Gabriella and came to her house. As Darren came in it was empty as Darren did wonder, 'where is Gabby's family?". Gabriella got some drinks as they sat on the couch watching a movie. Gabriella slid closer to Darren who was a little nervous as Gabriella reached her hand into the popcorn; Darren did so too. As they both looked at each other Gabriella blushed as Darren leans to kiss her. However, Darren thought, 'This kiss feels so cold, and I don't feel anything.' Darren thought about Isabelle however Gabriella asks, Darren are you ok?. Darren apologizes for the kiss as he gets up and leaves.

The next day at school Darren avoided Gabriella. She felt sad and wondered, 'Does Darren not like me the way I like him?'. Each time Gabriella was closer to Darren he walked in the opposite direction until lunchtime he went to eat outside on the bench. As he sat down and opened his bacon tomato sandwich, he felt a hand on his shoulder.

Chapter 3

It was Gabriella, Darren rolls his eyes and asks, what do you want Gabriella? Gabriella takes a deep breath and replies, why are you avoiding me, Darren? He rolls his eyes again and turns to grab his stuff and leaves. Gabriella grabs his arm as they stare into each other's eye. Darren blinks fast and runs awake. He thought, 'why did I feel like I was drifting from reality?'. Darren forgets about Isabelle's
