There was no way Danielle Williams could have predicted that she would be at a party. The last time she was at a party, everyone was using flip phones, and they were talking. At this party, thrown by an old school friend who she hadn't seen in ages, everyone was standing in clumps of four or five people, all of them on their cell phones.

How did this happen? she asked her best friend, Lily, who was standing directly to her left. Lily Jones was on her phone. She pushed her hair from her eyes. Lily was the reason why Danielle was at this party in the first place.
