About this ebook

Working together has always been a challenge, especially when it involves people who struggle to work on a team. With the way we approach work beginning to change, working together effectively is more important than ever before — and more difficult to achieve. How can we build strong teams in this new age and bring everyone to an equal standard of contribution?
In Problem-solving in Teams, an audio course from Scribd Coach, workplace expert and Shift Management CEO Marie Gervais addresses some of the challenges of teamwork, particularly with team members who struggle to follow procedure. In the course, she helps listeners shed assumptions about teamwork and leadership; explores systems in place as a potential culprit for procedure not being followed; provides a checklist for approaching a problem when it’s caused by an employee; and how to handle stress affecting team members. She also shares exercises along the way to help you put what you’ve learned into practice.
If you’re trying to step up your leadership and teamwork game, you’ve come to the right place. Gervais’s expertise and critical experience can help you lead teams like never before.

In this program, we’re going to learn how to address some of the challenges of teamwork. Specifically, we’re going to take a closer look at strategies for dealing with team members who, for a variety of possible reasons, don’t seem willing or able to follow procedures as they should. We’re also going to learn about some strategies that will help.
