Hello everyone! I’m Meredith Turney and this is Conscious Leadership: Leading in a Transforming World, a course from Scribd. Thank you for joining me. Let’s begin.

It’s no secret. The world is changing at an astronomically fast pace. We are no longer constrained by the cultural systems that have limited our potential throughout past millennia. People are eager to create a life that is more fulfilling than working ordinary 9-5 jobs. Entrepreneurs, solopreneurs, corporations and employees alike are all looking for greater harmony and happiness in their work and workplace.

In order to achieve this kind of harmony and adapt our leadership styles to meet the needs of a changing professional landscape, it’s imperative that we make several mindset shifts regarding how we understand our responsibilities as leaders and how we approach the work. This course is designed to teach you how to make those changes by making a Shift from judgment to curiosity; a Shift from individualism to collaboration; a Shift from product to purpose; and a Shift from intention to action.

But, before we get there, let’s take a moment to really wrap our heads around what I call Conscious Leadership — the foundation of these mindset shifts we’ll be seeking to make.
