The Ministry of His Minister

About this ebook
This book sets out as a clear and biblical strategy on how we can recruit, train, equip and empower Christian leaders who are balanced in their beliefs, resolute in their convictions, passionate in their service and steadfast in their commitments. The thrust of the book therefore, is to facilitate the transformation of the latent power of the Holy Spirit and the huge deposits of Christ’s grace in the lives of the Ministers into a dynamic force that will mitigate the effects of the powers of darkness and the distractions of worldliness thus releasing the full potentials of His Ministers to become effective and productive mobilizers of men to fulfil God’s redemptive work, and the emergence of able ministers of the new testament church.

The Ministry of His Minister - Kayode Oladipupo
DEDICATION
This book is dedicated to the Lord Jesus Christ who loves us and gave His life for the salvation of our souls and to the Holy Spirit, our teacher and counselor who has called us to minister in His presence and power.
ACKNOWLEDGMENTS
My profound gratitude goes to God Almighty who in His mercy redeemed me from perdition and gave me grace to serve along with Him in bringing salvation to man. The joy of knowing Jesus is the true strength for life and the real source of all knowledge and understanding. I adore the Holy Spirit, the Teacher and the Strengthener for His leadership and guidance in all that we do in making this works a reality.
I deeply appreciate the love and the sacrifice my leaders in the faith put into reading the manuscript and make useful and far reaching contributions at every stage of this work. Dr. Don Osman of Youth For Christ International, I say a big thank you. You have proved a worthy leader again and again. Indeed, your impact in my life is unquantifiable. I thank you sir, for sparing time to do the foreword to this book despite your ever busy international schedules. Engr. Niyi Ogunnusi, the Regional Vice President, Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International South West Nigeria I say thank you sir. Your painstaking spiritual and grammatical contributions add values to the book. Ven. Dr. Akin Omayajowo, Rector Archbishop Vining College of Theology Oke-Emeso Akure only God can thank you enough for the time and energy you expended on this work. Thank you sir again and again.
My deepest appreciation and heart of gratitude go to distinguished Ministers of the Lord Jesus Christ who made themselves available month after month for 12 solid months as we dialogue together under the leadership of the Holy Spirit at Ministers’ Dialogue on the Family Altar, Igbatoro Road, Akure Ondo State, Nigeria. My heart pours out loads of thanks to my brother and the Set-Man at the Family Altar, Pastor Opeyemi Bukoye who made his church premises and all the facilities therein available without charge. God of heaven will bless you beyond measures in Jesus name. How can I ever have enough word to express my gratitude to Chief Dayo Fadipe for his untiring fatherly care and brotherly support and endless encouragement? Sir, you can be too sure of God’s reward for all your good deeds.
To my wife, Kemi and our children Ifewande, Tosin, Segun, Seyi, Jesutofunmi and grandchildren Enoch and Eden, you are simply wonderful. God bless you all.
FOREWORD
In life, we meet many people who impact our journeys in different ways, and every so often, we meet those whose impact continues to resonate with our subsequent life experiences. S. K. Oladipupo represents the class of the latter. I have known him for over three decades as a Christian leader who has over those years allowed Christ to redefine his personal definition of success, realigned his priorities and reestablished the moral and ethical foundations of his life.
S. K. Oladipupo is a courageous Christian leader with a strong vision and heart for God. He is an excellent communicator of God’s word and very adept in people and ministry development. During the years I have known him I have witnessed his gifted ability to empower others and to generate resources for ministry. In my experience, it is difficult to codify his personal life, his ministry and his work; for they are inclusive and reflective of his character.
SK as he is popularly called, is a leader who does not believe in a simplistic and reductionist understanding of salvation, but demonstrates through his ministry, family and life how Christian leaders can live authentically, alleviate the causes of human suffering and transform the structures of society. He is a model of effective Christian leadership within the church at large and especially for Church leaders in the two-thirds world.
SK has written a timely book for our time with a clarion call that authentic servants of the Most High God must take heed to. In this book, he makes the point that unselfish Christian leadership refuses to rest on the inherent power of a position or competency skills but rather desires to empower and release others for effective ministry. His insightful exegesis of scripture makes the case that Christ-centred leadership is not just a theological construct; but it is about the reality of day to day leadership carried out in the character and example of Jesus Christ.
This book sets out a clear and biblical strategy on how we can recruit, train, equip and empower transformational Christian leaders who are balanced in their beliefs, resolute in their convictions, passionate in their service and steadfast in their commitments.

CHAPTER ONE
THE MINISTER OF GOD
"He will turn many of the sons of Israel back from sin to love and serve the Lord their God. It is he who will go before him in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the father back to the children. And the disobedient to the attitude of the righteous which is to seek and submit to the will of God in order to make ready a people perfectly prepared spiritually and morally for the Lord" Luke 1: 16-17AMP
There are growing numbers of people who labour in the ministry all over the world today yet; there is strenuous demand for the voice of God and able minister of the New Testament in many countries of the world. Though ministries abound, but the hearts of people are turning away from God to the things created by God. Men and women are advancing in the art of disobedience to the teachings and precepts of God even on the sacred altar. The teaching is rarely aimed at turning the hearts of the fathers to their children and vice versa nor directed at changing the disobedient minds to accept godly wisdom. The admonitions from the pulpit hardly kindle devout understanding among hardened skeptics of the gospel. People are not inclined to look to priests for guidance as the teachings of some have messed up many lives particularly in Africa as well as in the Western World.
God desired to put new life into His covenant with His ministers. "My
