Emotional Alignment
This book is based upon Emotional Alignment (EA). EA is our unique specification of emotional intelligence. It is defined as the accuracy with which you perceive the past and assess the future. Overall, it represents the degree to which you skew reality.
Reality is skewed when we allow our higher-level reasoning to succumb to our emotions. That happens when we trust our gut
, use our intuition
, etc. We defer to a physical sensation driven by the subconscious part of our brain. We fail to verify the feeling using the logic in our consciousness. Unfortunately, subconscious conclusions can be misleading if not downright wrong. That disconnect causes conflict between what we would think and what we feel. Hence, emotions can cause mind-body misalignment.
To help you understand what drives this misalignment we are going to give you knowledge - the 4Sight Model - as to how this occurs, then present you with tools - the 4Sight Process - that you can use to properly integrate this knowledge into your daily life, thereby achieving Emotional Alignment.
Behavior - everything we say and do as well as what we don’t say and do - is chosen. It may seem automatic at times and it may seem like it is hard to change. Regardless, every second of every day, we are in charge of how we behave. More importantly, we are responsible for all of our behavior. Always. If we feel like we are out of control, that is our fault and nobody else’s, especially once we are adults.
In order to understand behavior -
