Thank You God for caring enough about me to watch over me. Let us decree and declare this Scripture over us:

I decree and declare that the Lord Himself is watching over me and He stands beside me as a protective Shade in Jesus Name

The Lord never slumbers or sleeps (Psalm 121:4, NLT). Therefore, even while we are sleeping, the Lord is watching over us, He is Elohim Shomri. We, as children of the Most High God, can pray this prayer of protection over us before we go to sleep.

It says in Psalm 12:7, NIV that You, LORD, will keep the needy safe and will protect us forever from the wicked. What a promise! Thank You Father God.

I decree and declare that the Lord keeps me safe and protects me forever from the wicked in Jesus Name.

Let us have a look at the promise of protection in Psalm 91. Firstly, it says that we need to dwell in the secret place of the Most High (Psalm 91:1, NKJV). What does it mean to dwell in the secret place? It means, to stay in the Lord’s Will and in His rest - also we need to dwell where the Lord dwells. Stay in Him and He will remain in you (John 15:4, NIV). In Psalm 91:2 (NKJV) it says that " ‘He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.’ " Therefore, we need to trust in the Lord.

In Romans 11: 22 (NLT) it speaks about trusting in the Lord and that He is kind to us if we continue to trust in His kindness but, there is also a warning about not trusting in Him and as a result one will be cut off. Therefore, it is imperative to trust in the Lord and to remain in Him, only then His promise of protection in Psalm 91 will come into fulfilment.

I decree and declare that I trust in the Lord and He is my Refuge and Fortress in Jesus
