DEDICATION

This book is dedicated to three of the most influential men in my life. First, my grandfather Mr. Shepard Perkins. He was a humble, wise and praying man. Who loved the Word of God. I dedicate this book to him because he is/was the covenant connector in my family. The next influential man in my life was my first Pastor, Rev. Gregory B. Flood Sr. He taught me the foundations of the Word, the Cross, praying, repentance, forgiveness, faith, giving, teaching and preaching. Last but not least my father in the gospel now, Rev. Anthony D. Burns. Pastor Burns has and is teaching me the Word of Faith. He is one of the greatest preachers, teachers/pastors in the Body of Christ. God had given me the prayers years ago, but it was Pastor Burns, who motivated, inspired, and encouraged me through his preaching and teaching, to confess, declare, and decree, the Word of God as my source of existence. Thank you all for your labour of love to the body of Christ. I appreciate and honour you all and hold you all in high esteem.

This book is written to all who will say God’s Word on a daily, regular basis. Those who believe in the Word, and will say it until it manifest. We have been given the power to call those things that be not as though they are, and we call them according to the Word of God. It’s not a blab it, grab it message, nor it is a name it, claim it message, it’s what God said to Joshua. In Joshua 1:8… God said This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. You must believe God for anything to manifest. Scripture says in Heb 11:6… but without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. When we stop believing God, we give him nothing to work with. God must have something to work with. So we must believe and have faith. Faith in his Word and in his faithfulness to his Word!!! Have faith in faith!!!!

Introduction

In this book, "You Better Believe God", these prayers have been written for declaring, decreeing, speaking, saying, confessing, proclaiming and believing. This book is a tool for the battle that goes on in our minds, and in our circumstances. This tool is activated when we use our mouths, our tongues, and our lips. This is a book that you must interact with verbally. You must say it, speak it, proclaim it, claim it, agree with it and declare it! This is not a book for leisurely reading. It is for those who will open their mouths and allow the logos (written word) word to become a Rhema (spirit and life) word. We must take the written word of God and allow it to become life to our situations. These prayers are faith confessions, faith declarations, faith decrees, and faith commands.

This book isn’t for the casual reader, it’s for the warrior, the worshipper, the intercessor, the prophet, anyone and everyone that understands and wants the Word of God and its producing power to manifest in their lives. We must use the Word of God as our two-edged sword. We must verbally agree with the Word of God, until it manifests the full image of our Redemption. We’ve been redeemed from sickness, death, disease and poverty. We are the redeemed of the Lord and we will say so!

God spoke and so shall we. We must open our mouths and agree with what God has already spoken in His Word. Our voices must be louder than the voice of our enemy. We must speak to the mountains, the situations, the circumstances and the conditions and they must line up with the words of our mouths. We’re not fighting trying to get the victory; we’re fighting from the position of victory. Death and life is in the power of the tongue and what we love we shall eat the fruit thereof. Your mouth is connected to your life, your health, your prosperity, your success, your deliverance and every area of your life. We will eat from the fruit of our lips.

Our tongues are pens of ready writers. We’ve been given power to speak to mountains, to speak life, to speak peace, and to speak hope. The power lies within our mouths, our lips and our tongues. We can have what we say! We are created in His image and after His likeness, He spoke and it was so, so shall we. If you believe that say Amen!!! The people that know their God shall do exploits. Do you know God?

My urgent plea is that you not just read these prayers silently with your eyes, but open your mouth and say what God said. Scripture says the mouth of a righteous man is a well of life. We have the ability to water every dry, unproductive, and every unfruitful place in our lives, our homes, in our communities, in our country and in our nation. We have the power to change things and rearrange things with our mouths. We have that power and that responsibility.

God says in Isa.66:2… but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word. God looks to perform his Word. We have creative power in our mouths. We can say what we have, or we can have what we say! So open up your mouth and declare what thus saith the Lord. He has an expected end for us, to prosper us and to give us a future! In Joshua 1:8… it says, "this book of the law (the Word of God) shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous and then thou shalt have good success." Success is our mouths!

Most of these prayers are situational prayers, so look and find one for your situation and proclaim your deliverance, your victory, your prosperity, your confidence, your position, your privilege, your success, and what ever you need, it is in the Word of God. Keep confessing till it manifest, don’t give in, don’t give up, don’t quit till you get! Through faith ( in God’s Word) and patience you shall receive the promises of God!!!
